Brett Huff is the owner of Huff Technical Training. He has over thirty years experience in the security, environmental, training, and the rescue fields. Brett is a Technical Rescue Specialist for Code 3 Associates and a Rescue Specialist for ASAR Training and Response as well as an instructor for both.
Dr. Whitton obtained her Bachelor's in biochemistry from the University of Colorado at Boulder. During a hiatus from her studies, an introduction to disaster response while serving with AmeriCorps*NCCC encouraged her to further pursue veterinary medicine. She attended Bel-Rea Institute then practiced as a CVT in the Denver area for 3 years. She obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Illinois in 2015. While there, she was involved in critical care and equine neonatal research. After completing an internship at Equine Medical Center of Ocala in Florida, she returned to Colorado and joined the team at Iron Horse Equine Medical & Surgical Services. Dr. Whitton attended Options for Animals College of Animal Chiropractic and has been certified by the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association since 2018.
Dr. Whitton loves a little bit of all things equine medicine; however, her primary include lameness, internal medicine and equine welfare. She is especially interested in keeping an equine athlete performing at its peak. She looks forward to continuing her pursuit of advanced knowledge in ultrasound, rehabilitation and cardiology. Dr. Whitton was awarded a Good People for Good Horses Award by the Right Horse Initiative in 2020 for her work with a large local equine welfare organization. In addition, Dr. Whitton is an assistant instructor for Code 3 Associates and continues to assist with veterinary emergency response and disaster relief.
For over 25 years, professional horseman Garret Leonard develops equine rescue resources, evacuation planning and disaster programs to first responders, community response teams, industry professionals as well as executed and developed a center for law enforcement for the collection of evidence and rehabilitation of abused and neglected horses that have been removed from their owners by law enforcement.
Shannon Imergoot is an experienced copywriter, technical writer, and illustrator. Her multifarious work on The Comprehensive Guide to Animal Decontamination™ provided her with specialized knowledge of conscientious animal decontamination and effective response protocols. Holding animal rescue and decontamination as well as the responders that carry out these very important operations in the highest regard, Shannon maintains an ongoing dedication to rescue education and efficacy for wildlife and domesticated animals.
