ALEX BROWN

Alex Brown is originally from Snellville, Georgia. He received a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography from Belhaven University in 2020 along with the Refiners Award for outstanding improvement. Upon graduating Belhaven, Alex received his Personal Trainer Certification from the American Council of Exercise (ACE). He initially began to train clients at the Plano YMCA. While working at the YMCA, Alex was able to work with clients of various ages and lifestyles. He then began a virtual personal training program where he was able to work with clients from across the country. Alex's primary focus with all clients is to support their movement goals and allow them to become more kinesthetically aware. Along with being a Personal Trainer, Alex is also a Bruce Wood Company member. Alex has been able to work with legendary choreographers such as Lar Lubovich, Joy Bollinger, Kimi Nikaidoh, Omar Roman De Jesus, and Gregory Dolbashian

JULIA BUCKELEW

Dr. Julia's love of dance was born in the same place she was, the culturally rich city of New Orleans. From a young age, she knew she wanted to be a physical therapist. This dream led to her earning a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Texas Woman's University. Dr. Julia then went on to become a board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist. She has completed more than two hundred hours of ongoing dance-specific continuing education including reformer and mat Pilates, as well as achieving certifications in dry needling, Progressing Ballet Technique, and more. In addition to serving athletes and dancers through her company, she is an Adjunct Professor of Dance Kinesiology and department physical therapist at Southern Methodist University, Meadows School for the Arts, and partners with several dance companies throughout DFW as their staff physical therapist.
