CERVANTES & NASSAR - Key Persons

Sergio Cervantes

Sergio Cervantes took his first steps as a photographer in his natal city Havana, Cuba; after fulfilling other professional goals and finishing studies in Architecture and Graphic Design. His studies gave him discipline, composition, proportions and balance, most of which are now applied to his photographic career. The use of the latest technology helps him to improve the results of his creations. Museum glass, Dye-Sublimation on aluminum, or mounting techniques such as Diasec, facilitate even more dramatic impact to the bright colors he typically combines in his fine art photography. The process behind the final result of each photograph is equally thought and planned as the photograph itself.

Yanai Nassar

Yanai Nassar graduated with honors from University of Florida with a Bachelor in Fine Arts and a minor in Art History. She also studied Drawing and Art History at the Instituto Lorenzo de' Medici in Florence where she had the opportunity to get familiar with the work of the greatest artists of the Renaissance and other times. She toured Italy following the footsteps of these great artists, studying them and taking from them everything that could contribute to the style of drawing that today reflects in her work, like the Chiaroscuro from Caravaggio, giving a vivid impression of the three-dimensionality and drama of her figures, the softness in the blur and the composition from Da Vinci and Raphael, and the perfect human proportions from Michelangelo, but above all, the respect for figurative art.
