John P. "Johnny" Barron is a native of Lafayette, Louisiana. He graduated University of Southwestern Louisiana, with a B.S. in Finance in 1995. After college, he worked in the oil and gas industry.
After working for over a decade in the oil and gas industry, he returned to school, obtaining a Juris Doctor and Masters in Business Administration from Louisiana State University in 2011. He has since practiced law in multiple fields, including insurance defense, personal injury, workers' compensation, contract litigation, and successions.
He is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association; Lafayette Bar Association, where he currently sits on the Board of Directors; and the Duhe Inn of Court, of which he is currently President.
He is admitted to practice in Louisiana Courts, the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Courts for the Western, Middle, and Eastern Districts of Louisiana.
