Aki specializes in tax matters and estate planning, but works directly with clients on many financial aspects of their business. Whether determining the best overall annual tax planning for a company's performance or helping to restructure a business, Aki's background and experience - along with his flair for the creative - serves him and his clients well. He always delivers service rooted in competence and reliability.
Prior to establishing GCSE (one of the predecessor firms to Segal GCSE LLP) with his partners, Aki was the President and a member of the Executive Committee of the Toronto Estate Planning Council. Aki holds a BA from York University (1976), the CA designation (1977), the US CPA designation (1997) and the TEP (Trust and Estate Practitioner) designation (1998).
When not working, Aki enjoys spending time with his grandchildren. If he has any time left, you can find him on the golf course.
Andrea is a Senior Manager in the Enterprise Group providing comprehensive accounting and tax services to owner managed clients. With over 20 years experience, she provides a wide variety of services including account management, payroll advice, HST/GST solutions, accounting for investments including marketable securities and real estate and preparation of corporate, personal, trust, partnership and charitable organization tax returns.
Andrea's client group includes multi-generational high net worth families where she provides "family office" services from cash and expense management through to the delivery of comprehensive net worth statements. Andrea's commitment to client service excellence is key to her success and to the clients she works with.

Avinash S. Tukrel has over 15 years of international transfer pricing experience gathered in Canada, the United Kingdom (UK), Malaysia, Australia and India. He has led numerous transfer pricing planning, compliance, operationalization and controversy management engagements. Avinash has had clients in the pharmaceuticals and life sciences, technology, content and media, consumer and industrial products, oil and gas (O&G) as well as diversified services sectors.
Avinash's transfer pricing experience covers all aspects of the transfer pricing lifecycle, including:
Transfer Pricing Planning: set up inter-company pricing models and policies that enable a holistic alignment of the value chain to the operational and tax aspects of a business;

Cade is a senior manager in our tax department. She has been with Segal GCSE LLP since 2000 and her expertise in both corporate and income tax, in addition to financial analysis has been an asset to our firm and clients.

Cindy is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and is an alumna of the Master of Management & Professional Accounting at University of Toronto (2013).
Clarence is a non-assurance manager with 28 years of experience in public accounting. He is well adept in both accounting and income tax matters across a diverse range of industries. His commitment to client satisfaction and effective results are a top priority.
Dan is actively involved in the areas of financial and taxation consulting to owner-managed businesses and non-resident corporations with subsidiaries in Canada. Dan has experience in multiple industry areas including real estate, distribution, and financial services, including portfolio managers and exempt market dealers.

Dan is the Managing Partner of Segal GCSE LLP and a member of its steering committee. In this role, Dan guides the strategic initiatives of the firm.
Dan graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from York University in 1992 and obtained his CPA designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario in 1994. In 2015 and 2018, Dan successfully completed the Moore Executive Leadership Program at the Harvard Business School.

Farhan is a trusted advisor to business owners, boards of directors and investors for providing valuation, strategic and transaction-related advice involving both public and private mid-market companies in a wide array of industries.
With four decades of experience, Franco has had a storied accounting career. During that time, he has built up a loyal client base in sectors ranging from construction to real estate and investments. Prior to joining Segal GCSE LLP, he worked as a controller for a manufacturing company overseeing the daily accounting operations.
For Franco, looking after his clients is a labour of love and he thrives on building strong relationships, some of which have lasted more than 20 years. He is always in communication with his clients, who know they can reach out to him at any time when questions arise.
In his spare time, Franco channels his love of creating into crafting artisan bowls and is a member of two wood-turning clubs. He also enjoys entertaining his grandchildren.

Gregory Barr joined Segal GCSE in 2023 as a Senior Manager within the Assurance group. He has a broad range of experience leading service engagements for global and national corporations within the technology, media and industrial market industries. His main area of focus is the provision of assurance services and delivering assurance, review and accounting advisory services to both public and private corporations.

Jessica Wen is an assurance manager with Segal GCSE's Assurance group. Her main area of focus is the provision of specialty auditing services for both public and private corporations.
As a manager on the Segal GCSE team, Jie leverages her extensive background in accounting and tax to serve clients in the entertainment and dental sectors. With more than 10 years of experience, she has developed an exceptional ability to connect with clients, ensuring the delivery of services and valued advice that always exceeds expectations.
Jie earned a Bachelor of Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo, with a specialization in accounting.
Beyond her professional endeavours, Jie enjoys reading, travelling to new destinations and cherishing moments with her family.
Jillian joined GCSE (one of the predecessor firms to Segal GCSE LLP) as Controller in 2020, with a decade of experience working at various professional service firms. In her role, Jillian is responsible for the firm's financial reporting, budgeting and day-to-day operations.
She develops and maintains internal controls, as well as streamlining internal accounting operations by implementing new policies and processes to improve efficiency.
Outside of work, Jillian is an avid theatergoer and a foodie, and she enjoys exploring new countries and cultures.

Kim has worked in public accounting for more than two decades. She joined GCSE (one of the predecessor firms to Segal GCSE LLP) in late 2021 and serves clients in a variety of industries, including manufacturing and real estate, as well as privately owned businesses.
The bulk of Kim's accounting career has been spent meticulously reviewing client files for junior staff and coaching CA students. Her dedication to staff translates to a similar dedication to her clients, who name the "trust factor" as a key component of their strong relationship with her. Kim is also passionate and dedicated to helping not-for-profit groups with audits.
Kim studied accounting and business administration at Sheridan College.
When not working, Kim loves to immerse herself in nature, through hiking and walking, as well as travelling to various locations in Asia.
