Located in the heart of Greenville, North Carolina, we began developing properties in downtown Greenville in 1989 in an attempt to preserve historic structures and adaptively reuse them to revitalize downtown Greenville. In 1989 Greenville was still zoned for commercial use only. Seeing a vision and a need for mixed use property, initiated a change in the zoning to allow mixed-use occupancy. We started with the Hodges building, erected in 1905 and originally served as Greenville's first hospital. We modified the upstairs space to house eight different apartments. Imagine! One could walk to work or class!...
