VISUALLY IMPAIRED ADVOCATES

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for the visually impaired community of Greater Houston through community Awareness, Education and Inclusion... The Visually Impaired Advocates (V.I.A.) embarked on its mission in June 2007. This organization is designed for blind and visually impaired adults, 18 years of age or older, who may need encouragement and support as they face the challenges of vision loss. Membership is available to all adults who are experiencing blindness or low vision, their friends and family, professionals, and others interested in the field of sight enhancement... Our ultimate goal is to supply an unwavering environment of support by introducing applicable resources and life enhancement techniques, which will propel each member to a greater level of independence and personal growth.
