Though we are new to the purebred business, we are not new to the industry, and are really excited about what the future holds. It's our goal to build a program revolving around genetics that are high in fertility, easy fleshing and good growth. We believe high-maintenance cows, whether it be to aid in fertility or condition, don't fit our industry today. With input cost at an all-time-high, we need to grow as much beef as we can with as little as possible. The Red Angus breed is known for maternal traits, calving ease, disposition and easy fleshing- but with the added-value programs (FCCP, AA, etc.) offered through the Red Angus Association, commercial producers can make sure they are getting a premium price for their product.
