CEO, Evan Walker, founded Edison with a passion to help civilization improve their standard of living. His primary influence is the legacy and vision of the world renowned inventor Thomas A. Edison. Dating back to 1861, over a century ago, a young deaf Thomas Alva Edison had vast appetite for knowledge as he would spend most of his adolescence researching how the evolving world around him functions and reading Shakespeare. At the age of 14 Thomas was already operating his own laboratory in the basement of his home filled with various experiments and hazardous chemical solutions. Facing poverty living at home with his parents, the prodigy moved to New York in his twenties where he began to revolutionize the world as we know it today.

Thomas Alva Edison

Thomas Alva Edison began to design and patent a multitude of his inventions including the incandescent light bulb, and the first economically sustainable system to centrally generate electricity and distributing, light, heat, and power "the grid". He also invented the vitascope which lead to the first silent motion pictures in 1890. Shortly after this success in 1892, Thomas founded and operated one of the greatest companies in American history, the General Electric Corporation. Thomas Edison is revered world wide as the "Father Of The Electric Age" and "The Greatest Inventor Of All Time" for his remarkable inventions that revolutionized civilization.
