Judy Parkin - Founder

Job Titles:
  • Designer
  • Founder
With a diverse portfolio that spans over 20 years, Judy is renowned for consistent, outstanding design that is both current and timeless. With many completed interior design projects for high-end homes in London, the south of France and Germany, Judy Parkin's work has attracted significant media attention. Upon returning to Australia, Judy successfully adapted the European approach to interior design that she had mastered there. Uniquely, she integrates a solid foundation of customised cabinetry and joinery design into the interior design of contemporary Australian homes. From prestigious projects in London's ‘Kitchen Lane' (Wigmore Street) right back to her earliest years growing up on building sites with her father in the trade, Judy was fascinated by the practical components of construction. A life-long passion had begun. With her father building the family's homes, Judy would get involved with rendering and bag-washing walls when she was still a child. Her love of the built environment, combined with her Advanced Diploma of Interior Technology studies, natural design flair, fascination for naturopathy, and intuitive understanding of where her clients are coming from, all came together to create a highly unique design approach. Judy Parkin's design accomplishments are guided by an innate understanding of people's spatial and ergonomic relationships with their homes, detailed knowledge of how a home functions best and the key components of effective storage. Factors which, when combined, impact on the overall wellbeing of home occupants. In her early career, Judy began working for a large-scale residential construction company. There she honed her knowledge of construction and the new home build process. She oversaw the customer's journey through the entire process of the build, including the design stage, council applications and approvals, pricing/estimating, colour consulting, and liaising with construction teams.
