Dr. Shewanick is a native of Kansas City, a former critical care nurse, an Army Guardsman, and a wonderful and experienced dentist.
Dr. Shewanick graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Washburn University in 2001 and served as critical care nurse for four years. Dr.Shewanick graduated from UMKC School of Dentistry in 2009 and worked in a private practice in the Northland area until selling his practice recently. Dr. Shewanick has had the honor to serve as a dental officer in the Kansas Army National Guard since 2011, while still practicing as a full-time general dentist. He is also the proud father of three young boys. Dr. Shewanick enjoys traveling, tennis, golf, and games with his children.
Dr. Yang is a very talented dentist who loves his patients and staff. He treats each patient like a person and not a number. He always believes in doing what's right for patients and loves seeing patients out of pain.
Dr. Mark Jensen graduated with a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Kansas in 1984. He then continued on to the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with distinction in 1988. Following graduation, Dr.Jensen completed a three-year general practice residency with the United States Navy Dental Corps. During this rewarding and challenging time, he worked primarily with Marines in the First Gulf War. He learned many of the skills he now uses every day by working with some of the finest clinicians anywhere.
After completing his residency, Dr. Jensen moved back to Kansas City, his hometown. In 1992, he purchased this practice from a retiring doctor and developed the theme of "Together, Dental Health for Life." While Dr. Jensen has practiced dentistry in the area for more than 20 years (and his practice has grown tremendously), he has never lost sight of what has led to every success he has had-caring for his patients as best as possible.
Dr. Jensen has extensive training in several areas of dental care, including cosmetic dentistry and oral surgery. He also continues his education in dentistry on a regular basis, maintaining all of the required continuing education for accreditation with the State of Kansas Dental Board. In addition, Dr. Jensen is a member of the American Dental Association®, Kansas Dental Association and Fifth District Dental Society of the State of Kansas. Furthermore, his practice is accredited by the Better Business Bureau of Greater Kansas City.
