Regina Duffy Fisher was born and raised in Spindale, N.C., the daughter of Jimmy and Virginia Duffy. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication from UNC-Chapel Hill, a Master of Arts degree in Intergenerational Studies from Wheelock College in Boston, and a Certificate in Gerontology from Boston University. Armed with all that education, she built a career around helping people and being a loving a caring person to everyone she met. Her work background included time spent at Johnson C. Smith University, YMCA of Greater Charlotte, and Communities in Schools.
She loved God, family, and devoted her personal and professional life to helping others. Such was her exuberance, Regina was the kind of person you'd hear before you saw coming and always, you'd smile at her arrival. She always met life's challenges in dignity, humor, optimism and faith.
