Eugenio Boidi

Eugenio is a Senior Designer at SFA Studio. After obtaining his Masters degree in Architecture at the University of Milan and working in Italy for a few years, Eugenio relocated to New Zealand in 2010. He joined SFA Studio in 2011, after collaborating with Stephen on the Community-Led Sumner Masterplan in response to the Canterbury Earthquake Series. Working across all stages of design and construction, he has gained extensive experience on a wide range of projects, from luxury residences to compact homes, multi-unit apartments and mixed use developments.

Krystal Hildebrand

Krystal graduated from Design and Arts College of New Zealand with a diploma in Architectural Design and Technology (Hons.) and joined SFA Studio in 2012. She is a Licensed Building Practitioner (Design 2), an ADNZ (Architectural Designers New Zealand) Professional Member, a Licensed Building Practitioner, and a Homestar Practitioner (New Zealand Green Building Council). Krystal has the passion, experience and knowledge to help guide you towards a build that best represents your vision. Krystal is highly competent in all stages of the design process. Her excellent knowledge of materials and architectural detailing, combined with her team player attitude, and skill in managing and liaising with consultants, allows her to deliver the best-possible result for the client.

Stephen Fitzgerald - Founder

Stephen is the founder and Director of SFA Studio. He graduated at the School of Architecture in Auckland in 1997, and had prior to that completed a degree in architectural drafting. Stephen lives in Sumner, Christchurch, and is inspired by the hills and seaside that surround him. He trained under Sheppard and Rout Architects, before working overseas for three years in London doing a variety of projects from Stansted Airport to commercial developments. He returned to New Zealand and worked as Associate Director for Warren and Mahoney Architects for six years, before setting up his own architectural practice.
