Angela has varied Change, Transformation, Strategy and HR experience gained across different industries.
At present, she holds the role of Senior HR Operations Director at GXO and leads both BAU and multi-million pound transformation and technical change programmes. Angela has previously worked both in the public and private sector for well- known businesses such as Marks & Spencer, Money Supermarket Group, Pearson, Wolverhampton NHS Trust and Jaguar Land Rover. Angela is also a Non-Executive Governor with Salford University and Activate Learning.
She holds an MBA from Manchester Business School, an MA in HRM, a Post Graduate Diploma in HRM and is a Fellow of the CIPD.
Angela's experience of losing loved ones through COVID-19 was a key motivation in wanting to join Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. One of her first part-time jobs, whilst studying in the city, was as a cleaner at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital and taking up the Non-Executive role in the city where she was born and bred is both an honour and privilege for her.

Chris was born in Saint Mary's Hospital and grew up very nearby in central Manchester. She initially trained and worked as a Staff Nurse at Manchester Royal Infirmary in the 1980s and subsequently became a qualified social worker, based in a Community Team in Moss Side, central Manchester.
Chris held a number of key senior positions in Manchester City Council's Children, Family and Community Services for over 25 years. She was also an adviser to the Department for Education
Chris joined the Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council in 2009 as Director of Social Care and Health. She currently holds the position of Executive Director People and Integration : Director of Children's Services.
Chris chairs the Greater Manchester School Readiness Board and the Greater Manchester Children's Health and Wellbeing Executive. She also represents Greater Manchester's Directors of Children's Services on the GM Integrated Care Partnership.
Chris is the Senior Independent Director for MFT. She was awarded an OBE in 2021 for her outstanding services to children and families.

Darren held the role of Director of Strategy at Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust since April 2006 and has led a number of major organisation-wide initiatives including the successful Foundation Trust application in January 2009 and the acquisition of Trafford Healthcare Trust in April 2012.
He was a member of the Greater Manchester Devolution Transition Team, helping to shape the governance arrangements linked to this historic agreement which has now matured into the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership.
Darren is responsible for all aspects of strategic planning and for providing an over-arching framework for the development of corporate and service strategy. He manages many of the Trust's major stakeholder relationships and works closely with the hospital leadership teams to ensure that our service delivery and development plans support the achievement of our vision.
Darren is a qualified accountant and has held senior financial and operational management positions within the NHS prior to joining the team.

Damian has 35 years' experience as a clinician and senior manager in the NHS. He has worked as a GP serving diverse communities, as Regional Medical Director for NHS England (North), and as an Executive Medical Director of two large Acute Hospital Trusts in the North West.
In Damian's role as Executive Medical Director of Pennine Acute Trust, he was instrumental in leading work on the disaggregation of the Trust's clinical services; working across organisational boundaries, building and maintaining strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders. This facilitated clinically-led decisions to be made about the provision of services across the Manchester conurbation.
During the Covid pandemic, Damian led and chaired several key multi-agency groups, Including the Lancashire and South Cumbria Cancer Alliance, creating a supportive, open and honest environment in which voluntary, health and care sectors could all work together, beyond organisational boundaries, for the benefit of patients and public.
Damian is very patient focussed in his thinking; always looking for opportunities and improvements in the NHS that are in the best interests of patients and public. His passion for delivering high quality patient services alongside his extensive clinical and management expertise will be used to provide effective scrutiny and support to MFT's Board of Directors.

Gaurav has nearly 30 years of broad commercial experience gained across a variety of industries, including consumer and business services internationally. Gaurav's early career spanned stints in strategy consulting, corporate finance and venture capital. In 2004, he joined the Virgin Group, where he became Corporate Development and Strategy Director, developing new growth platforms, including Virgin Money and Virgin Healthcare. In 2013, he joined Bibby Line Group, where he was Executive Director and Chair of several portfolio businesses, including Bibby Financial Services and Garic.
Since 2018, Gaurav has been operating across a portfolio of roles in organisations with long-term vision and making a meaningful contribution to society. He is currently Chair of the Bolesworth Estate, based in Cheshire, as well as Chair of Think Energy Group, a market leader in providing relocatable renewable energy resources to the construction and infrastructure sectors. Previously, Gaurav was also Chair of Life Leisure, a not-for-profit charitable organisation operating fitness centres to improve local communities' access to health and wellness facilities.

Jenny joined the NHS in 2000 on the Graduate Management Training Scheme and has worked across many different organisations since then, including Ambulance and Commissioning, although mainly in Acute Trusts. She was appointed Group Chief Finance Officer for Manchester University Foundation Trust, the largest Trust in England, in May 2020, following an eight-month period as Deputy Chief Finance Officer. Prior to this role she was Deputy Director of Finance at Leeds Teaching Hospitals, where she had worked since 2014, and had previously been Deputy Director of Finance at Harrogate and District FT for over five years.
She has a family background in the NHS and has always seen the importance of financial teams working extremely closely with clinical and operational colleagues to deliver excellent patient care. To that end, over many years, she has supported and developed her teams to deliver high quality finance and procurement support.

Mark has worked in the NHS for his entire career. He joined the NHS as a nurse in Greater Manchester in 1992.
Mark became Group Chief Executive of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust in April 2023. Prior to that, he was Chief Delivery Officer for NHS England.
Mark has held a range of senior leadership roles in his career, including Chief Executive at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust, regional Chief Operating Officer for NHS Improvement in the Midlands and East of England, and several director roles in London NHS trusts, including Moorfields Eye Hospital, Whipps Cross and Barts Health.

Julia joined the NHS Graduate Training Scheme in 1984 after completing a degree in Theology at The University of Manchester.
A large part of her career has been spent within the West Midlands fulfilling the roles of Chief Executive at North Staffordshire NHS Trust (UHNS) for seven years and then Shropshire Community Trust.
Julia joined Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT) in September 2013 as the Chief Operating Officer before securing the Group Chief Operating Officer role at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) following the merger.
Most recently she has led the successful implementation of our Electronic Patient Record Programme (Hive) as Senior Responsible Officer as well as taking on the Deputy Chief Executive role.

Kathy was previously Chairman of Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT), taking up the appointment in November 2016. She had held the role of CMFT Non-Executive Director since March 2013 and CMFT Senior Independent Director (SID) since March 2016.
A banker by profession, Kathy worked for Cheshire Building Society for 24 years until taking early retirement in 2006. With a keen interest in local communities, her past roles include: Chairman of the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service, Chairman of Cheshire & Merseyside Courts Board, a member of the Lord Chancellor's Advisory Committee on the appointment of Justices of the Peace, Chairman of Your Housing Group (a social housing provider) and member of the Strategic Growth Committee at East Cheshire Hospice.
