CORE CROWN POINT - Key Persons

Beth Steffens

Beth Steffens was first introduced to yoga and Mat Pilates during a physical education class in high school. This experience paired with 16+ years of dance lessons sparked a new hobby. In 2011, Beth was invited to teach at a local NW Indiana hot yoga studio where she also completed her 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification. With a practice rooted in balance, alignment, and usually corny jokes, Beth strives to create an accessible learning environment where all levels and intentions for practicing can be met.

Kate's journey to Pilates first began as a yoga student in 2006, then as a yoga instructor 7 years later. And in 2011, Kate discovered Pilates! She loved how it accented her yoga practice and provided such a thorough understanding of her core. The owner of Core Crown Point, Kelly's teaching journey began in 2008 at the Southlake YMCA. Kelly draws from her personal training and group fitness experience, intertwining multiple disciplines with her Pilates sequencing. Kelly is certified in Reformer Pilates and Bodhi Suspension Training from Balanced Body, as well as completing a variety of other fitness trainings. Opening Core Crown Point in 2018 has enabled Kelly to fulfill her passion for offering safe and effective classes for all ages, all bodies, and all levels of students. She hopes the welcoming and spa-like atmosphere of Core lets students feel the world melting away, allowing them to focus on themselves and their fitness journeys.
