When 7-year-old Caroline made it her mission to redecorate her room weekly, build endless LEGO villages, and repeatedly paint and reconstruct Barbie's dream house, she was either obsessive or a young design enthusiast in the making. After getting her BFA in photography from SCAD, she moved to Los Angeles and worked for a glass artist + designer, which gave her insight into all aspects of the design world. When she's not working or on an airplane, she's usually searching for vintage wares, doing New York Times crossword puzzles, or reworking playlists on Spotify. A native New Yorker who once called Wyoming home, Colin has found his happy place in Atlanta where he and his family have lived for the past ten years. Colin's a career-long publishing pro who enjoys helping his design brand customers beat their competition through creative marketing. He's worked at several leading industry magazines such as Hospitality Design, Healthcare Design, and Metropolis. When not working with clients or traveling to trade shows, Colin enjoys CrossFit, watching his kids play soccer or bragging about Villanova basketball.
Danna was born and raised in Silicon Valley. There she landed her first role in media sales with a national weekly paper. Her career has spanned 3 decades, and she has vast experience in helping clients design programs that suit their objectives and budgets. The Seattle area has been her home the last 17 years and she loves all that the region has to offer. Some of her free time activities are spending time with her husband and family, walking, writing, decorating, painting, live music, wine - not necessarily in that order!

A Jack and Jill magazine feature about her Montana childhood growing up with a bear was Dixie's intro to media. Currently based in Seattle, her experience includes USA TODAY, GRAY Media, and the launch of an award-winning wedding magazine. She's a non-stop networker, multi-tasker and closet voice-over artist who cherishes every moment spent with family and friends.
A Los Angeles native, Gregory's interests fall upon the relationship between design, nature, and technology. His resume includes art director, toy designer, managing editor at Apartment Therapy, and design contributor at the New York Times' Wirecutter, alongside appearing in other publications as diverse as Tom's Guide, Vice Munchies, and Metropolis. You can find his most recent efforts as co-author of Creative Spaces, a book dedicated to people, homes and studios to inspire across the United States and beyond. He lives with his wife Emily and their two cats - Eames and Eero - in Mt. Washington, California, curiously investigating the entomological and mycological.
As a purpose-driven craft and design writer with almost 20 years' experience in the creative industries, she also contributes to publications such as Viewpoint, The Guardian, Crafts Magazine, Elle Decoration, and Monocle24. She has written four books, and launched, edited, and published an award-winning design blog and an independent print magazine - her latest book is Weaving: Contemporary Makers on the Loom. She has recently completed a Masters in the History of Design at the University of Oxford, graduating with a distinction, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Trustee of the Leach Pottery.

Kelly Beall is senior editor and art director at Design Milk. The Pittsburgh-based graphic designer and writer has had a deep love of art and design for as long as she can remember, and enjoys sharing her finds with others When undistracted by great art and design, she can be found making a mess in the kitchen, consuming as much information as possible, or on the couch with her three pets. Born and raised in Virginia Beach, VA, Matt has enjoyed spending most of his life by the beach and enjoying the outdoors. A Radford University graduate in Business Marketing, Matt has spent the last five years of his professional life helping businesses streamline their businesses processes & find ways to optimize their advertising budget. When he's not connecting with local business owners he is usually finding excuses to sneak outside to grill with his four year old daughter or hit the golf course with long time friends.
Meredith is passionate about using design as a force for better living and the greater good. She has spent her career in global sales, marketing, and as a brand storyteller, including ten years as Brand Director at Dwell Magazine and teaching History of Industrial Design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. When she's not collaborating with clients, Meredith can be found traveling with her family and noticing every architectural and design detail wherever she is - and then researching its history. A native of Ohio, Stephanie graduated from The Ohio State University and loves living in Columbus. A CPA and Mom, she loves simplicity, structure, and balance (especially when debits = credits). You can find her chasing her husband on a 3-mile run, at her daughter's swim meets, or at her son's tennis tournaments. She balances by retreating to her "she cave" in the basement practicing Yoga or foam rolling. When she's not number crunching, you might also find her trying a new recipe in her kitchen with her poodle by her side to taste test.
TJ Girard is a sought-after food designer and creative consultant, celebrated for staging theatrical, interactive food + beverage experiences. Her clients include some of the world's most notable brands as well as New York's foremost cultural institutions. With a degree in set design, TJ has dedicated the past 15 years to blending her passion for scenography with her culinary prowess, innovating both domains and becoming a leader in New York's food design + event industry. She now resides in California where her creativity is solar powered! TJ writes our Taste column.
Straying from her degree in business economics, Vy spent a summer in Italy to study art and language, only to embrace her love of design (and newfound love for espressos) when she returned home to California. Her interests revolve around discovering the latest movers and shakers in the community, finding accessible design, and implementing ways to live well and with intention. She's usually sharing all of the above, plus snippets of life with her husband and two kids, over on @itsafterfive.
