Jeff was born in Michigan and like most kids growing up in Michigan, he learned to ice skate and started playing hockey at the age of four. He developed a love for the game, which he still plays, in local adult leagues. His love of sports doesn't stop at hockey; Jeff is also an avid baseball fan and loves to watch the Detroit Tigers play.
While in high school, Jeff's family moved from Michigan to Omaha, NE. After high school, Jeff continued his education, graduating from the University of Nebraska - Omaha in 2002, with degrees in Business Finance and Commercial Bank Management.
Jeff's professional career began with Mutual of Omaha, where he continued to develop his knowledge of finance. His career path took him to Woodmen of the World in 2004, becoming their Annuity Specialist and later an Annuity Wholesaler, which enabled him to travel the country, training agents on complex insurance and financial products.
In 2006, Jeff received his MBA from the University of Nebraska - Omaha, with an emphasis in finance. Jeff continues to expand his overall knowledge and expertise by attending numerous retirement seminars and conferences. He has acquired his Iowa Life and Health Insurance Licenses and the Series 6, 63, and 65 Securities Licenses.
Jeff has spent much of his career mentoring advisors and managers, ensuring that they have the knowledge and resources to adequately take care of their clients and grow their business. In 2009, Jeff moved to the Des Moines area and has been helping clients in Central Iowa make the most of their retirement. He is very committed to helping his clients feel good about their retirement strategies and long-term financial goals.
Jeff and his wife, Becky, were married in 2014 on the fourth anniversary of their first date. They reside in Waukee with their children, Charlie (5) and Ben (3), and their beloved beagle, Rex. In their free time, they enjoy traveling and spending time outdoors.

Ryan was born right here in Des Moines. While he was young, he kept himself busy playing football, and basketball and operated his own lawn care business. Today, Ryan is an avid sports fan, he enjoys fishing, pheasant hunting, and playing golf. For the last twenty years, he has made an annual trip up North to the Boundary Waters to canoe and fish.
After graduating from Roosevelt High School, Ryan continued his education at the University of Iowa. While at Iowa, he joined the Iowa National Guard as a mortarman. He completed basic training at Fort Benning, GA, and was deployed to Afghanistan between 2010 - 2011. After deployment, Ryan earned his bachelor's degree at Upper Iowa University and he started a career in insurance services.
Early on in his career, Ryan found his passion in assisting individuals with their life and health insurance choices. Ryan quickly became a manager and mentor to other insurance agents. After ten years, Ryan decided to partner with Jeff Baker to create Expedition Insurance Services.
