Amy C Smith

Amy C. Smith recently joined Moster Craft PC, where she will focus primarily on family law with an emphasis on child welfare. Ms. Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Texas Woman's University, where she was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta International Sorority, serving as president during her last year. Ms. Smith attended St. Mary's School of Law in San Antonio, where she was a member of the Hispanic Bar Association and a student attorney for Texas RioGrande Legal Aid, helping survivors of domestic violence obtain emergency protective orders. She also had the distinct honor of participating in the St. Mary's Institute on World Legal Problems in Innsbruck, Austria, while the late Honorable Justice Antonin Scalia served as Distinguished Jurist. Ms. Smith was most recently employed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services as a regional attorney in Wichita County and the surrounding areas. She zealously represented the Department in substantial litigation with a heavy caseload. Before working at DFPS, Ms. Smith was the Managing Attorney and Director of the Sexual Assault Survivor's Program at Legal Aid Society of Lubbock. She passionately represented survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, as well as assisted the Program Director with grant writing and reporting. Ms. Smith's desire to help those in need and speak for those without a voice is what inspired her to obtain her law degree. She is passionate about justice, which serves as a guidepost for her career. At home, Ms. Smith and her partner are busy with two very bright and active toddler girls that have (happily) forced her to take a break from some of her favorite hobbies like traveling and reading suspense/thriller novels.

Mr. Moster is the Founder of the Moster Law Firm d/b/a Moster Craft, P.C. and serves as its Managing Partner. He also chairs the Firm's Litigation and Intellectual Property practice areas located at the Claydesta Center in Midland, Texas (pictured below), in addition to our offices in Austin and Dallas. The IP practice is also known as the "Turing Technology Group" named after the Founder of Intellectual Property, Alan Turing (1912 to 1954). The Turing Technology Group represents emerging technology companies with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and the creation of high-level systems which demonstrate advanced cognitive abilities. Our attorneys handle an array of IP issues including patent law and electrical/mechanical engineering, among other matters. Mr. Moster and other attorneys at the Firm are also conversant in computer languages from a programming and developmental standpoint. He has represented top computer scientists in the field involved in commercial applications and endeavors related to National Security. Mr. Moster's experience over 36 years as an AV-rated lawyer is multifaceted. He commenced his practice as a business and litigation attorney for the U.S. Department of Commerce during the Reagan and Bush administrations focusing on industrial projects in excess of $1 Billion. He has represented Oil & Gas companies in diversified areas from production to distribution to related services, among other areas. Mr. Moster also practices in the areas of commercial litigation, Oil and Gas Law, appellate practice, and entertainment law. He is a graduate of Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. (1977) and holds a law degree from Temple University School of Law of Philadelphia, PA. (1984). Additionally, he earned his master's degree in political science from San Diego State University (1979). Mr. Moster joined the Washington, D.C. law firm of Deckelbaum & Ogens in 1990 after leaving the U.S. Department of Commerce and became a Partner at that Firm which concentrated in the areas of commercial litigation and business law. He co-founded the Austin-based law firm of Moster Wynne in 1996 before opening The Moster Law Firm which has offices in Midland-Odessa, Lubbock, Amarillo, Abilene, Wichita Falls, Austin, Dallas, and Houston. He has been conferred the "AV Preeminent" rating from Martindale Hubbell, which is the highest level of achievement granted to attorneys nationwide for legal excellence and the highest ethical standards of practice (5 of 5 possible scores). Mr. Moster also served as a playwright, lyricist, composer, and author for almost 40 years. His award-winning plays and original musical compositions have been produced for the New York stage (Circle-in-the Square Theatre and New York Theatre Ensemble) and venues across the country including National Public Radio and Canadian Production Companies. His radio plays have focused on the lives of brilliant but lesser-known scientists including Charles Babbage, the inventor of the first programmable computer in 1837, See, A Different Engine, El Camino Real Productions; Nikola Tesla, the inventor of alternating current and a rumored Time Machine, Nikola Tesla vs. The United States, and poignant historical events such as the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the United States; Taken, How Will They be Remembered? In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Moster has authored several books in the areas of computer science, philosophy/theology, political science, and corporate law. His non-fiction book, "Teilhard's Arrow - A New Theory of Everything", was released in July of 2018 and is available on Amazon books. Teilhard's Arrow considers whether God can be proved up scientifically and if theology can be reconciled with quantum physics, evolution, and cosmology. Mr. Moster is also the author of "The Six Pillars of the New American Partnership", which discusses the six major defects in the U.S. Constitution and proposes that a new constitution be adopted and ratified. The book is available at Amazon Books. Mr. Moster is the Founder of SpeakSoft™, a software development company that is seeking to develop the world's first computer which can pass the Turing Test. His current AI is affectionately known as "Julia" and is set for beta testing in March or April of this year. Charles is also the Co-Founder of Future2050 LLC, (along with Stephen Miller) a Texas Limited Liability Company which acts as a generator and repository for unique intellectual property. The idea was spawned by the e-magazine, Future2050 which publishes monthly articles on the future of technology anticipated for the year 2050 in key sectors of the World's economy. (Mr. Moster serves as the Editor of Future2050.net.) Future2050, LLC is involved in the actual development of this new technology by acquiring IP and seeking out relationships with inventors, scientists, and technologists.

G. Michael Roebuck

Mr. Roebuck is an accomplished attorney with a strong background in electrical and computer related patent prosecution and litigation support for Fortune 50/500 clients. His practice has included internet applications, software, telecommunications, e-commerce, and electronic and computer related inventions. Mr. Roebuck is an AV rated attorney who received his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University in 1990 where he also served as Law Review Editor. He has also represented clients with regard to Mechanical Devices, Oil field services and patent prosecution and litigation support, Oil Field Sampling, Prosecution, and infringement analysis. Mr. Roebuck received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Auburn University (Dean's Honor Roll recipient) and pursued graduate studies in Computer Science at the University of Texas. Prior to attending law school, he worked as a software and electrical engineer. Mr. Roebuck enjoys working with a wide range of clients from small startups to larger companies.

Jacques A. Roussel

Jacques A. Roussel is a litigation attorney who is joining our team in the Austin office. With a strong desire to serve his community and help people in need, Jacques worked for six years at the Kings County District Attorney's office in Brooklyn, New York as an Assistant District Attorney with the Special Victims Bureau. While serving as a prosecutor, Jacques prosecuted hundreds of cases and worked tirelessly for victims of various crimes including sexual assaults, human trafficking, crimes against children, and other violent offenses. Born and raised in France, Jacques came to the United States when he was 18. After High School, he attended the University of California, Los Angeles (2012), and then received his Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School (2015) where he was a member of the Moot Court honor society and participated in multiple competitions. With any free time, Jacques is an avid traveler who loves to go out on adventures with his wife and two young children.

Lindsey Craft

Lindsey Craft is a shareholder of The Moster Law Firm, P.C., where she oversees the probate and transactional divisions. Ms. Craft's practice focuses on Estate Planning, Probate, Real Estate, Oil and Gas, Intellectual Property, Surrogacy, and serving as counsel to several businesses across Texas and beyond in various domestic and international matters. Though Ms. Craft focuses heavily on the transactional and advisory role, she is no stranger to the courtroom having appeared in courts at the state and federal level across Texas and several other states. Ms. Craft is licensed by the State Bar of Texas, the Northern and Eastern U.S. District Courts of Texas, and is an approved guardianship attorney in Texas.

Matt Burr

Matt Burr serves as a Senior Patent and IP attorney for the Firm with a special focus in the area of biotechnology and related issues. He is a graduate of the University of Houston School of Law (1988) and also pursued graduate studies in Molecular Biology and the Baylor School of Medicine. He received his B.A. in Biology from the University of California San Diego. Along with Charles Moster who heads the Firm's Turing Technology Group, Mr. Burr is fascinated with the new developments and applications in the area of Biocomputers and the formulation of technology to support organic systems including Wetware. Mr. Burr and the Firm are also equipped to obtain patents for clients in multiple bio-technical areas including pharmaceuticals, genetic research/application, and medical devices, among others. Mr. Burr has been involved in substantive biological/genetic research at many of the top research institutions in the United States and world, including: Research experience in the laboratory of Inder Verma at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. Research experience in the laboratory of National Academy of Science Member Jack Buchanan at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He Presented the group's paper at the annual meeting of the American Society for Cell Biology on one of the first discoveries of an oncogene. Co-created the Office of Technology Development at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. He also created technology transfer agreements adopted by the University of Texas System. Negotiated the agreements and shepherded approval through the University of Texas Board of Regents for several biotech startups from the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Mr. Burr has been a registered patent attorney since 1995 and admitted in the U.S. District Courts of Texas. Together with the Turning Technology Group, he looks forward to assisting clients on a broad range of IP and patent matters.

Mr. Gomez works

Mr. Gomez works as a Landman and Paralegal for the Firm's Oil & Gas Practice area and other divisions including litigation, business law, and Intellectual Property. He brings a wealth of experience to the Moster Law Firm. In addition to serving as a Landman in the Oil & Gas industry, Mr. Gomez served as a legal consultant to Bariven, S.A. a subsidiary of PDVSA in Maracaibo, Venezuela. He received his Master's in Comparative and International Law (LLM) from Dedman School of Law in Dallas, and his Master's Degree in Business Law from Universidad Rafael Belloso Chancin in Maracaibo, VE.
