Jay Holloway

's professional life as an attorney, professor, and author is evidence of his passion for the law. Jay has been practicing law in Alabama for over 35 years and has tried over 140 civil cases to verdict. Prior to joining Snable Stevenson & Silva, Jay served as the managing attorney for a national plaintiffs' law firm. In addition to his extensive trial experience, Jay is a preeminent authority on civil procedure in Alabama. He is the author of LexisNexis' Alabama Civil Practice Forms, Fifth Edition, and served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Cumberland School of Law teaching Alabama Civil Procedure. Jay graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Arts in History, and received his J.D. from Samford University's Cumberland School of Law. M. WITT MCLEOD

Witt McLeod was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. He attended the University of Alabama and earned a Bachelor of Arts in 2015. Following his undergraduate studies, Witt attended the University of Mississippi and was awarded his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2018. Witt was licensed to practice law in Alabama in 2018 and in Tennessee in 2020. Witt has dedicated his entire legal career to fighting for justice for victims. While in law school, Witt assisted clients throughout Mississippi with adoptions and Guardian ad Litem work by participating in the Child Advocacy Clinic. He also clerked for several prominent personal injury law firms in Birmingham during law school, gaining a wealth of valuable information and knowledge in the field. While at Ole Miss, Witt was also the vice chair of the Trial Advocacy Board and competed in trial competitions throughout the southeast. Following graduation from law school, Witt joined a personal injury firm in Birmingham, where he gained experience through representing individuals injured in auto accidents, by consumer products, and by medical drugs and devices. Subsequently, Witt joined Nahon, Saharovich, and Trotz in Memphis, Tennessee, where he focused on personal injury law, and more specifically, automobile and truck accidents, as well as premises liability cases. Upon moving back to Birmingham in 2022, he joined Snable Stevenson & Silva. Witt understands how important each case and each client is, and appreciates the opportunity to serve and help his clients in their time of need. Witt currently lives in Birmingham with his wife Allison. He is a member of the American Association for Justice, and an active volunteer for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. MARYAM T. STEVENSON

Maryam Stevenson's practice is limited to federal immigration law and immigrant advocacy, with a focus on physician and healthcare immigration. Maryam helps to staff medical practices, hospitals, research facilities, and other types of healthcare providers with foreign doctors and nurses. She is well experienced with regard to Physician J-1 Waivers and Physician National Interest Waivers, having successfully obtained waivers through both state Conrad 30 programs and other IGA federal agency programs for numerous IMG physicians subject to two-year home residency requirements. Maryam also works with extraordinary researchers, in healthcare and in other fields, and with extraordinary professors and academics. Maryam received her Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Rhodes College, and her J.D. from the University of Memphis' Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. Additionally, Maryam holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and is currently a professor at Samford University's Cumberland School of Law, where she teaches Torts (civil actions), Administrative Law, and Professional Responsibility (legal ethics). S. Anthony Silva

's practice focuses on immigration law and immigrant advocacy, representing clients with extraordinary abilities in music, art, and entertainment, as well as in research and academia. His clients have included numerous professional musicians, actors on both stage and screen, writers, directors, and film crews, and professional dancers and acrobats. Tony also regularly works with extraordinary foreign researchers, professors, and others involved in higher education. As a former member of a first-tier national labor and employment law firm, Tony has represented clients whose profiles range from multi-campus higher education systems to individual professors, multi-national corporations to newly formed small businesses, and film production companies to individual actors. In addition to his primary practice of immigration law, Tony is highly experienced in all aspects of Social Security disability law. He has successfully represented hundreds of clients before the Office of Hearing Operations, the Appeals Council, and in the federal courts. Tony graduated with honors from the University of Memphis' Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, where he received a Humphreys Law Fellowship and was a member of the editorial board of the University of Memphis Law Review. He is regularly engaged as an author and speaker on immigration topics, conducts continuing legal education seminars on immigration law, and is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Tony is also a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants' Representatives (NOSSCR), the Federal Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, and the Memphis Bar Association. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Tony was an active classical pianist and music teacher. He completed a doctorate in piano performance from the Scheidt School of Music and coached privately with many renowned classical musicians. Tony continues to mentor gifted young musicians, is frequently engaged as an adjudicator of classical piano competitions, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Memphis Repertory Orchestra.
