Leslie has dedicated herself to the development of innovative software and Virtual Reality (VR) based solutions and technologies. Throughout her career she has developed a variety of VR experiences. Her first creation took the user through a day in the life of a Black college student at a predominantly white institution after the shooting of an unarmed Black man. She has also developed experiences that help combat the historical bias around the agency and capabilities of enslaved individuals in America during the Civil War era. Her work focuses on the use of VR as a tool to combat bias across numerous areas of society. Alongside that work, she has spent time within the technical education sector, creating and managing curriculum used to train potential employees for Fortune 500 companies. She strives to push technology past its limit and initial use case by adapting it to combat social issues.
