Nexus Health Systems was founded in 1992 to fill a void in the treatment of individuals with brain injury. As a Texas health system, Nexus has always helped individuals locally, and with more critical programs and services, is proud to serve people from across the U.S... Since its founding, Nexus has expanded its programs and services to help children, adolescents, young adults, and adults with a variety of physical, mental, and behavioral challenges through unique programming. Always keeping the needs of the community - both near and far - in mind, Nexus is committed to mending minds... The continuum expanded in the early 2000s to include Nexus Specialty Hospital and Nexus Children's Hospital - Houston. Along with new facilities, new programs were developed to help individuals who had other diagnoses besides brain injury: stroke, spinal cord injury, rare genetic conditions, co-existing medical and behavioral or mental health needs, and other complex traumas and illnesses.
