The Polymer Composites Additive Manufacturing Lab, also known as Duty Research Group, was founded in 2015 at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville by Dr. Chad Duty. The PCAM Lab conducts research focusing on the characterization and development of additively manufactured fiber reinforced plastics and composites. The lab specializes in material extrusion additive manufacturing systems, specifically fused filament fabrication and screw-based extrusion such as the Big Area Additive Manufacturing system at the Oak Ridge National Lab Manufacturing Demonstration Facility (ORNL-MDF).
