Peri Arts is a clothing and printing company aimed at promoting artwork created by individuals with mental illness. We also donate a portion of our profits to charities that support people with disabilities and the community... Peri Arts was founded by Andrew Tunis in 2020. Andrew has a long history of working with individuals with special needs and serious mental illness. Going as far back as to being a teacher's assistant for the special needs class at his junior high school. He worked in group homes for violent and sexualized teens, which opened the door to working with young adults with serious mental illness (SMI). Throughout his time working with young adults with SMI, he noticed two things. The first was that some individuals with SMI wouldn't be able to hold meaningful employment due to their disabilities. Secondly was that these individuals are extremely creative and talented. He spent several years trying to come up with a solution to help these young adults.
