Jeffrey joined TSH in September 2009 and focuses his practice in Creditors' Rights, Landlord-Tenant, and Traffic Law.
Joel joined Tieman, Spencer & Hicks as an associate attorney in September of 2014.
John M. Spencer is a founding partner of the firm. John has been licensed in the State of Missouri since 1998. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a Juris Doctor in 1998 and a Masters of Law, Taxation, in 1999. He also received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Westminister College, in 1995.
After a distinguished career as a practicing attorney, Larry now focuses on the more enjoyable and relaxing things in life.

Lee is the managing partner of Tieman, Spencer & Hicks and oversees the firm's business and contractual practices. The never-ending desire to work with exemplary people in order to provide the best possible services to our clients is what motivated Lee to assemble this talented group of attorneys and support staff. Over the past 25+ years, Lee has represented a diverse range of business clients, ranging from multi-national conglomerates to family-owned businesses. Serving as primary general counsel to the majority of his business clients, Lee regularly provides practical legal representation informally in the conference room as well as formal litigation in the courtroom. The experience of having tried numerous jury and bench cases, not only in Northwest Missouri but throughout the United States, gives Lee a unique perspective in developing "common sense" and financially responsible courses of action for his clientele. This tried-and-true approach is self-evident by the fact that Lee's practice is almost exclusively filled with long-standing, repeat clients.
For over 40 years, Ralph practiced in the areas of estate planning, probate avoidance, drafting of trusts, wills and related documents, business organization and operations, real estate transactions and contract preparation.
Russ Purvis was born in Platte City, Missouri. After graduating from law school in 1992, Russ decided to dedicate his career to assisting people. Over the course of his career, Russ has been proud to have helped literally thousands of people resolve legal issues both large and small.
In 2004, Russ was named as one of Kansas City's 40 under 40 by Ingram's Magazine. Russ has previously served on the Public Investment Advisory Committee for the City of Kansas City, Missouri, the Mayor's DUI Task Force for the City of Kansas City, Missouri, and on the Board of Governors of the Missouri Trial Lawyers Association.
Russ focuses his practice in the areas of car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, personal injury, products liability, workers' compensation, and insurance coverage issues.
Russell has been focusing on personal injury and workers' compensation law for more than 25 years. He joined the legal team of Tieman, Spencer & Hicks in the fall of 2018.
