Aimee McDaid

Aimee joined Card Group in June 2023 as a Research Assistant. A long history within the retail sector has allowed Aimee to develop the necessary skills for effective customer communication and relationship building. In her current role, Aimee uses these skills to assist with the development of qualitative and quantitative research projects and collaborate with her colleagues to achieve high-quality performance. Aimee holds an MRes in Social Science Research and a First Class Honours degree in Social Policy with Quantitative Methods from Queen's University Belfast. Aimee enjoys listening to soundtracks and is a keen knitter in her spare time.

Albert Hamilton - CEO

Albert founded CARD Group in 2003 and continues to be our principal research consultant. Albert's expertise in the field of statistical research began by achieving an honours degree in Statistics and Operational Research. His reputation of having particular expertise in understanding the essential statistical and psychological influences on consumer opinion surveys, has seen him requested by clients throughout the UK and Ireland, mainland Europe, Eastern Europe and India. Albert has been commissioned by some of the largest corporations within the retail industry and beyond. He has extensive experience in local Council related research, having designed successful research projects for numerous councils throughout the UK and Ireland.

Angeline Martin

Angeline joined CARD Group in 2015 as Marketing Manager and is responsible for marketing strategy. Angeline started her career in marketing as a graduate at Halifax Property Services. More recently she has worked as Marketing Consultant for Fraser Homes and as Marketing Manager in London for General Electric. Angeline has also mentored businesses via business improvement programmes for several local councils. Angeline holds a BA (hons) Business Studies degree, specialising in marketing, from the University of Ulster. She is also a Chartered Marketer member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and holds a CIM Diploma in Digital Marketing.

Aoife Hamilton

Job Titles:

Aoife re-joined CARD Group in May 2023, having previously managed qualitative research for the company. Her professional background is in policy and social research with 10 years+ experience including for a prominent charity and social enterprise and the independent charity regulator in Northern Ireland. Through these roles she has used social research and policy analysis to inform effective lobbying, campaigning and advocacy work specifically in the fields of childcare, social security, inclusion, equality and diversity, eliminating poverty and improving access to public services. A key strength is collaborating with clients to understand their needs, and she is driven to see effective evidence being used to shape public policy and organisational processes for the better. Aoife holds a BA (Oxon) in History and Politics, and a CMI Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Leadership and Management. Alongside leading research projects with clients, Aoife is responsible for corporate development and is committed to ensuring CARD Group is the best possible organisation to work with - as your trusted research partner - and for - as a valued member of our exceptional team.

Caoimhe Skinner

  • Operations Co - Ordinator
Caoimhe joined CARD Group in February 2018 - she is one of our core Operations Team members. From a young age, Caoimhe has been involved in market research - her first job was in an economic development business, collecting data through conducting surveys, workshops and focus groups. Caoimhe's previous roles also included the managing of a sales team within financial services, which involved the training and continuous development of staff based in both office and field sales roles. She consistently managed to meet and exceed targets of both productivity and quality assurance. Her experience translates ideally to CARD Group environment, allowing her to effectively draw up project plans, set targets for her team and ensure the smooth running of the research projects in her charge. She is involved in all of the projects - from their inception to their final stages, and is our main person for supplier liaison. She graduated from University of Ulster in 2013 with a Bachelors degree in Language & Linguistics. Caoimhe is an avid supporter of the Brain Injury Foundation.

Joanna Rakowska

Job Titles:
  • Head of Operations
Joanna joined CARD Group in May 2013. She is an experienced bilingual Operations Manager with close to 15 years of working experience in fast-paced environments. Her current role within CARD Group involves multi-project preparation, supervising and guiding and training Site Operations Team in project management areas; including large data sets quality monitoring and assurance. She is also responsible for maintenance of organisational awareness within the company, initiate's company's charity endeavours and helps with developing office culture. Joanna continually demonstrates her ability to deliver multiple projects on time, to high-quality standards. She is our key client liaison for pre-project set-up, live fieldwork updates, and post-fieldwork communications. She thrives in the ever-changing working environment and follows through on all tasks. She holds an MA in Philology and received comprehensive humanistic knowledge in the areas of language, literature and culture, acquiring skills of critical thinking and information research. Joanna also holds a Foundation Certificate in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Away from work, Joanna is passionate about music, collects vinyl records and loves travelling - she has visited 20 countries so far.

Roxy Thompson

Job Titles:

Roxy joined CARD Group Research & Insight in October 2014 as a Field Manager and has managed field projects throughout the UK, and also in Italy, France and the Netherlands. She has a background in outdoor education. Her current role as Research Officer within CARD Group involves working with the Operations Team in planning and organising CARD Group projects, as well as being involved with the Research Team in quality assuring all data collected after a study has been completed. Roxy is involved in the administration of the company, client and supplier communication, organising teams of researchers to carry out projects and our continuous consumer monitoring projects and monitoring and maintaining HR and recruitment functions. She is also involved in the creation of reports and post-project collation and analysis of results. Thanks to her university studies, Roxy is fluent in French, Spanish and Italian, as well as holding an MA in Translation Studies. She is currently studying for a BA in Business Management. Away from work, Roxy volunteers with Girlguiding as a Brownie Leader and enjoys indoor bouldering and travelling with friends.
