CKDance Company is a private dance studio offering Highland Dance lessons to adults and children in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. We run lessons at the Baker Community Centre within AVENS... Cindy started competitive highland dance as a toddler. She fell in love with the dance form after starting classes in Toronto with the Joyce Kite School of Dance, where she remained for the majority of her competitive career. Cindy earned her teaching certification and began instructing young dancers at that same studio. Cindy's love for ballet and modern dance began when she was accepted to the Regional Arts Program at Cawthra Park Secondary School. There, she studied in an intensive dance program while simultaneously completing her high school education. After moving to New Brunswick for University, Cindy developed a unique class designed to use ballet as supplemental training for competitive highland dancers.
