Dr. Jeyaganesh Veerakumaran

Dr Jeyaganesh Veerakumaran from Kuala Lumpur Malaysia completed his undergraduate education MBBS from University of West Indies in 1999, then furthered his education by doing Masters in Anaesthesiology from National University of Malaysia in 2009. In 2017 he completed his Fellowship in Neuroanaesthesia from the Indian Society of Neuroanaesthesia and Critical Care. Throughout his career he held various position in hospitals in East and West Malaysia. He is currently working as Clinical Consultant in the Department of Anaesthesia University Malaya Medical Centre. He has a special interest image-guided minimally invasive surgeries, intraoperative neuromonitoring and motorsport medicine.

Dr. Leong Kok Weng

Dr. Leong Kok Weng is a neuroanaesthesiologist in Tunku Abdul Rahman Neuroscience Institute (IKTAR) - the premier neurosurgical centre in Malaysia. He obtained his Medical Degree in 2008, & went on to complete his Masters of Anaesthesiology in 2016. In 2019, he had the privilege to undergo his neuroanaesthesia fellowship in Toronto Western Hospital, one of world's top neuroscience centre, where he has worked with many pioneers in neurosurgery & neuroanaesthesia. He is widely published - where his publications include several scientific researches in high impact journals, hospital protocols, as well as preparatory books for anaesthesiology exams; he has also spoken in several regional conferences. His interests are intraoperative neuromonitoring, anaesthesia for awake craniotomy & functional neurosurgery, as well as stroke embolectomy.

Dr. Mohd Fahmi bin Lukman

Dr. Mohd Fahmi bin Lukman is an associate professor at Faculty of Medicine and Defence Health, National Defence University of Malaysia and a consultant anaesthesiologist at Tuanku Mizan Armed Forces Hospital. He obtained his M.D and Master of Medicine (Anaesthesiology) from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2001 and 2008 respectively and subsequently underwent neuroanesthesia subspecialty training from 2010 until 2013. His major research interest is in airway management and neuroanesthesia and has delivered multiple talks on both fields. He is a co-author of various books in anaesthesia, resuscitation, and pain management.

Dr. Peter Tan Chee Seong

Dr Peter Tan obtained his Master of Medicine (Anaesthesiology) from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 2010. He subsequently completed the Malaysian Ministry of Health subspecialty training in neuroanaesthesiology in 2016 with experience working at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, Australia and Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore. He is currently the consultant neuroanaesthesioogist at the Sarawak General Hospital, Kuching, Sarawak. He is passionate in delivering education related to anaesthesiology and perioperative neuroscience both at national and international levels. He is also the present Convenor of the Special Interest Group in Neuroanaesthesia, College of Anaesthesiologists, the founding President of the Malaysian Society of Neuroanaesthesiology and Neurocritical Care, the board member for Asian Society for Neuroanaesthesia and Critical Care and the member for Society in Neuroscience in Anesthesiology and Critical Care.

Dr. Samuel Tsan Ern Hung

Dr Samuel Ern Hung Tsan is a clinical lecturer and anaesthesiologist at the University of Malaysia Sarawak. He completed his Master of Anaesthesiology with Distinction from University of Malaya in 2020, and he is also a Fellow with the College of Anaesthesiologists of Ireland. His research interest lies in neuroanaesthesia and neurocritical care, airway management, and mental health. He is a keen researcher and in addition to authoring publications in international peer reviewed journals, he is involved in international multicentre clinical trials such as POISE-3. He is also passionate about teaching and training the next generation of doctors.

Dr. Zettie Akhtar Shuib

Dr Zettie Akhtar Shuib graduated from the National University of Ireland, and started her career as a house officer in Hospital Selayang. She has always been interested in anaesthesia and joined the fraternity as soon as she could, during her final posting of housemanship. Since then she never looked back, going on to become an anaesthetic medical officer in Hospital Sultan Ahmad Shah, Temerloh and joined the Masters of Anaesthesiology HUKM where she has worked in numerous hospitals as part of her outcampus program. After completing her Masters degree, she gazetted in Hospital Pulau Pinang and is currently pursuing subspecialization in neuroanaesthesia.
