Mary Kay is a Financial Associate and the Chief Compliance Officer for Alpha. She returned to us after a one-year stint at Chase Bank, having worked at Alpha previously for two years as the office administrator. Prior to that she worked at Edward Jones Investments for seven years as a Branch Office Administrator in Upper Arlington. She strives to ensure that clients enjoy an excellent customer service experience.
Mary Kay earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Growing up in Powell, she returned there a few years ago to renovate and live in her childhood home. She is forever tweaking her home and learning to garden! For the past 20 years she has played the clarinet in the Columbus State concert band. Mary Kay loves to read, write, walk, bake, travel, is involved with her church, and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Michael Hairston has twenty-two years of experience as a financial advisor and portfolio manager for professional athletes, entertainers, high net worth families, and small business owners. He spent ten years at US Bank in the Professional Sports Division as Vice President and Director of Football, responsible for leading wealth management planning for the division's NFL and NBA clients. In addition, he spent seven years at A & B Advisors as an Investment Advisor Representative responsible for managing investment portfolios and financial planning for professional athletes and small business owners.
Throughout his career, Michael has displayed a strong passion for building lasting relationships with his clients and creating wealth management strategies that tackle the client's specific financial objectives. The long-term success of the client is his top priority.
Michael is a native of Columbus, Ohio. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati and a Master of Business Administration from The Ohio State University. He lives in Westerville, Ohio and is married with three children. He is also actively involved in his local community and church where he serves as an ordained minister.
Steve began his career in the financial services arena over 20 years ago with Edward Jones in Ashland, OH. He earned his AAMS® (Accredited Asset Management Specialist) designation from the College for Financial Planning, and recently earned the prestigious AIF® designation which demonstrates understanding of the Prudent Practices® and methodology.
Prior to starting Alpha Financial Planning, he worked with Doctors from around the country for nearly a decade with Mercer Advisors.
Steve's passion is co-creating a comprehensive financial Plan with his clients. He specializes in working with closely-held business owners and individuals to identify their financial vision.
Steve is actively involved in his home community of Dublin, OH and in the lives of his three children. He serves on the board of his Homeowners Association, and volunteers his time to Youth Sports groups. He has been a Coach, a Commissioner, and a Board Member for the Dublin Football League, and Dublin Youth Athletics. Steve is a proud supporter of the Coffman Football and Basketball booster clubs. He also has his own AAU Basketball organization - Hoop Heroes Basketball Club, LLC.
Tommy is a proud graduate of The Ohio State University, where he earned his Bachelors in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance. Since graduating in May of 2019, Tommy has joined the team as a full-time Financial Advisor here at Alpha Financial. With a passion for helping others reach their life goals, he strives to develop strong relationships with all of his clients to provide a high level of service that meets all of their needs. As of March 2021, Tommy is a Certified Financial Planner™ Professional.
Tommy enjoys both playing and watching various sports, and tries to stay active in his free time. An avid traveler, he enjoys visiting new cities for sporting events, music festivals, or even simply site-seeing.
