Alasdair Mustard

Alasdair first fell into practical shooting at an Action Air taster stage in 2012 was immediately hooked and achieved Grand Master by 2017. He shot the AA World Shoot 1 in Hong Kong, was the 2018 British Standard Champion and has been awarded two Presidents Medals. View More Here.

Alex Moreton

Alex runs the day to day operations of the RFD and personally tests every product we sell. He has been shooting various disciplines since the early '90s and has a passion for all shooting sports. He is a GWCT accredited game shot.

Crispin Hilger-Ellis

Job Titles:
  • Lead Designer
Crispin is responsible for all of our graphic design, CAD and 3D modelling. He is a published artist and has worked in a broad range of sectors from healthcare to the music industry. With an affection for vintage arms, black powder is his discipline of choice.

Dave Smith

Job Titles:
  • UKPSA Trainer
Dave is a fully qualified UKPSA Trainer and runs all of our Long Gun Safety Courses. He is a retired Police Office and started shooting Practical Disciplines in the early 2000s.

Jim Starley

Jim Starley started shooting at aged 7, and got his first FAC at aged 14. He enjoys collecting British Service Rifles, and shoots a variety of disciplines. Jim is an X-Class Gallery Rifle Shooter, and has been a UKPSA member for 20 years. He is a former Master Grade in Practical Shotgun (Standard), representing the UK in Shotgun World Shoot 1. More recently Jim has been focusing on Mini Rifle, achieving Grand Master Grade and winning the 2021 UK Championship.

Jon Axe

Jon runs all of our training sessions for practical disciplines. He is an avid 3 Gunner and author of the book The 3 Circles which is a must-read for all practical shooters.

Kelvin Leaton

Kelvin Leaton is a relative newcomer, having only started shooting in 2016. However, Kelvin soon found a passion for Mini Rifle and obtained his UKPSA competition licence in 2019. In his first full year of competing Kelvin finished 3rd overall in the UK Championship, achieving a Grand Master Grade. Kelvin now firmly has his sights on the next Mini Rifle World Shoot.

Ryan Hutchinson

Job Titles:
  • Operations
Ryan is involved in the everyday operations of the RFD. He is also the Head Coach and Range Officer at Blue Rifle & Pistol Club, as well as a Professional Hunter and Deer Stalking Guide at St. Clair's. He has a soft spot for historic rifles.

Tom Ellaway

Tom started shooting in 1997 at the age of 15. Starting in Gallery rifle, Tom now competes both at home and abroad. He can be found on the Gallery Rifle Circuit and the Practical mini rifle circuit with an eye on representing his country in the near future.
