Previously, he held senior positions at Merrill Lynch, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, and Paribas Capital Markets. Richard is Chair of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) Investor Advisory Group, a member of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and the UK's Transition Plan Taskforce (TPT).
