May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we want to raise awareness about postpartum depression. Approximately 1 in 7 new moms experience postpartum depression. It's common, and help is available, including our home-visiting program here at Easterseals Serving Chicagoland and Greater Rockford through Head Start/Early Head Start. Pregnant women can receive FREE bi-weekly home visits for 45-90 minutes. Once the baby is born, visits will take place weekly for 90 minutes. Our prenatal services provide support and resources for pregnant moms and new parents while monitoring for postpartum depression...
