Akayla joined Gart Properties in December 2017 as a member of the accounting team. Akayla is responsible for processing invoices/issuing payments and applying payments to tenant ledgers. Akayla has been in the accounting industry for 15 years. Previously she worked in IT related jobs for about 20 years.
Hometown: Akayla is a 3rd generation Colorado native growing up in Arvada and Boulder.
Interests outside of work: Akayla enjoys planting vegetable and flower gardens. She loves anything associated with arts, crafts, cooking and hanging out with her dog Milo. In addition, recycling and "Green" issues are a real passion and hopes to inspire others as well.

Bridget joined The Gart Companies in January 2020 to assist the Gart executive team and work as a paralegal in the legal department. Bridget has over 20 years' experience working in law firms and is excited be working in the private sector. She graduated from Metropolitan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and holds a paralegal certificate.
Carolyn joined Gart Properties in July of 2018. She oversees operations and property management of the company's retail and office portfolio. Prior to joining Gart Properties, Carolyn worked for Trammell Crow, CB Richard Ellis, and Larimer Associates. She has 30 years of experience and has managed some of metro Denver's most prominent properties, such as The Landmark, Larimer Square, and Denver Union Station. She graduated from Metro State College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, has earned an RPA through BOMA and holds a Colorado Real Estate Broker's license.
David returned to work for The Gart Companies in March 2017 and currently oversees the finance and accounting function as CFO for The Gart Companies and Gart Properties. David was previously the Controller of Specialty Sports Venture, the sporting goods retail business of the Gart family from 1996-2010. From 2010-2014, David continued his Controller role at Vail Resorts for their retail division. David initially worked for Ernst & Young out of college, after graduating from Regis University with a bachelor's degree in Accounting. David is a Colorado native and grew up in Arvada, and is married with three boys. David loves the all the outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer, particularly cycling and hiking, and traveling both in and out of Colorado with his family.

Derek has been a Leasing Agent with Gart Properties since 2006. He is responsible for the leasing efforts of over 2 million square feet of retail space throughout the Denver metro area. He began his commercial real estate career in 1998 with General Growth Properties and has held a multitude of positions ranging from General Manager to Group Vice President of Business Development. Derek graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Business Administration.

Elizabeth joined the Gart Properties in August of 2018. After moving to the States from Scotland, Elizabeth lived in Michigan, working as a Payroll Manager for a Nursing Center. She then moved to Denver in 2008 to be near family and began working as a Payroll Admin with Specialty Sports Venture "SSV", a retail business owned by Gart Capital Partners , from 2008 - 2010. After following SSV to the Vail Headquarters, Elizabeth rejoined The Gart Companies, primarily supporting Gart Properties.
Evan joined Gart Properties in 2016. Evan sources and executes real estate investment opportunities for Gart Properties in addition to overseeing the company's existing portfolio. Prior to joining Gart Properties, Evan worked for SLATE Partners, a Denver-based investment bank that specializes in sell-side M&A in the building materials and building services sectors. Evan received his BBA in Finance from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.
He is a passionate outdoorsman, spending time fly fishing, skiing, golfing, flying and cycling with his wife, Stephanie, and dog, Birdie.

Holt joined Gart Capital Partners in June 2022 as an Investment Associate. Prior to joining GCP, Holt worked as a Financial Analyst for Koelbel and Company in Denver, focusing on value-add commercial real estate acquisitions. Holt previously worked as a financial analyst and key account manager in Houston for Tenaris, a large steel pipe manufacturing and services company primarily serving the energy industry. Holt holds an MBA from the Leeds School of Business at CU Boulder and a B.B.A. in Finance from Texas A&M University.

Jaimie is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations of the Management office for the Denver Pavilions. Jaimie joined Gart Properties in May 2017, with extensive office and customer service experience, primarily in the education sector.
Jen joined Gart Properties in September 2022. She manages assets in Greenwood Village, Denver, Aurora, and Cherry Creek. Jen started her real estate career at CBRE (formerly Trammell Crow Company) in 2004 after graduating from the University of Denver.
Jessica joined Gart Properties in May 2019. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at Metro State College of Denver and has been working in the real estate industry for 16 years. She performs the Senior Accountant duties for over 10 of our entities.

Justina joined Gart Properties in December 2019 as a Property Management Assistant and has been working in Commercial Property Management since 2017. She graduated from MSU Denver with a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Management with a focus on Business Management. Justina grew up in Poland and moved to the United States in 2000, where she lived in multiple states including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Nevada before settling in Evergreen, Colorado.
Interests outside of work: In her free time Justina enjoys reading, yoga, puzzles, traveling and walks with her husband Nick, and dog Teddy.

Kelly joined Gart Properties in 2021 as the Executive Assistant to Mark Sidell and Evan Gart. She brings with her several years of commercial real estate knowledge, marketing and supporting upper management experience.
Hometown: Kelly has called many places home, but Colorado has been home for many years now.
Interests outside of work: Kelly enjoys world travel, Colorado hikes, road biking, barre classes, yoga and spending time with her family and friends.

Ken has been a partner at The Gart Companies since its inception in 1992. Prior to The Gart Companies, Ken was Co-President and Chief Merchandising Officer at Gart Bros. Sporting Goods, a family-owned and operated corporation, from 1983 to 1992. Ken started Specialty Sports Venture, LLC (SSV) in 1994 and built it to over 140 stores and into the nation's leading specialty ski and bicycle retailer. SSV included Aspen Sports, Telluride Sports, Boulder Ski Deals, Colorado Ski and Golf and roughly 30 other trade names. The company was sold to Vail Resorts in 2010.
Ken was chairman of the Board of Denver Bike Sharing (DBA B-Cycle) where he was appointed to the position by Governor John Hickenlooper. Denver B-Cycle was the first major city-wide bike sharing to launch in the US. Ken is currently chair of the Board for RPM Events Group which owns the Colorado Classic. The Colorado Classic is a women's only global professional cycling competition.

Kyle has been with Gart Properties since December 2017 and in the industry since 2011. Kyle is currently the Property Manager for Gart Properties' northern Colorado portfolio with properties in Arvada, Boulder, Fort Collins, and Westminster.

Kyle joined Gart Capital Partners in April 2019 and manages current GCP investments as well as assists with the sourcing and execution of new GCP investments. Kyle is the acting CFO of Work World, a current GCP platform. Prior to joining GCP, Kyle was a co-founder and Chief Development and Financial Officer at EVP Eyecare in Denver, a multi-state owner/operator of eye care clinics and surgery centers. Kyle previously was a private equity investment professional with Waud Capital Partners, a Chicago based middle market private equity firm, and Centerfield Capital Partners, an Indianapolis based private equity and mezzanine debt investment firm. Kyle began his career in M&A investment banking at Baird in their Chicago office, focused on Consumer and Diversified Industrial companies. Kyle holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Indiana University.
Outside of work, Kyle enjoys spending time in the mountains skiing, hiking, fishing and biking with his wife Samantha, daughter Sloan, and dog Rocky.
Mark Sidell has been President of Gart Properties since 1999 and is a partner in all of the company's real estate investments. He is responsible for leading the organization including an aggressive acquisition program and continued execution of niche development opportunities. Prior to joining Gart Properties, Mark was a principal with Trammell Crow Company where he enjoyed a 13-year career in the Colorado real estate market. Mark serves on the board of several Denver community agencies including the Downtown Denver Partnership, the Allied Jewish Federation of Colorado and the Jewish Community Foundation. He is also an involved member of the Young Presidents Organization, and the International Council of Shopping Centers. Mark is a real estate industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience and holds an MBA in Real Estate and Construction from the University of Denver and received his undergraduate degrees in Construction Management and Business Administration from Washington State University. Mark is married with two children.

Maryann joined The Gart Companies in August of 2017. She is responsible for all corporate and family office accounting. Maryann has over 20 years of financial accounting experience in various industries, including public / tax accounting, manufacturing, real estate and non-profit. She graduated from Lewis University in Illinois with a B.A. degree in Accounting and Business Management.

Matt has been a member of the Gart Properties team since 2005 and is the Project Manager for the company's diversified retail, office and resort properties portfolio. Matt works with all types of stakeholders including tenants, owner's representatives, property managers, building owners, architects and engineers to facilitate value-based decision-making that is beneficial to the projects and minimizes disruptions to existing occupants. Matt enjoys applying his problem-solving skills to each opportunity to find best-fit solutions that balance cost, schedule, and resources but never compromise on quality.
Matt is an Ironman triathlete, skier, and golfer. He lives in Denver with his wife and two sons.
Max joined the Gart Properties team as Leasing Associate in July of 2021. He is responsible for leasing the Gart Properties portfolio of retail centers throughout Metro Denver with our Director of Leasing, Derek Henry. Prior to joining us, Max held a marketing position with Matrix Group, Inc. in Denver, CO and had obtained many other internships with commercial real estate companies here in Denver and in Los Angeles, CA. Max graduated from Whittier College with a degree in Business Finance and Economics.

Meagan joined Gart Properties in December 2020 as the Marketing Director for The Denver Pavilions. Meagan is responsible for the management of the marketing programs and initiatives and is a key support partner for all property marketing activities and activations. Before joining Gart, Meagan's professional experiences were in social media management, event management and creative marketing strategies at Denver Westword and Topgolf USA, running major events throughout the market. Meagan graduated from the University of Colorado Denver with a degree in Marketing and Mass Media Communications.

Stacia is General Counsel to The Gart Companies and the various entities associated with The Gart Companies. Stacia earned her undergraduate degree from Tulane University and her J.D. from Vanderbilt University and has practiced law in Colorado since 1993, initially with a boutique real estate law firm and later with larger full-service Denver based law firms. Stacia has worked with The Gart Companies and its associated entities throughout her practice and joined The Gart Companies as General Counsel in 2016.

Steve is the general manager of Denver Pavilions and property manager of California Mall in Downtown Denver. He has been in Denver commercial real estate since 1979 and with Gart Properties since 1996. Prior to joining Gart Properties, Steve was employed by Equitable Real Estate in various roles.
Steve is a Colorado native and lives in Denver with his wife Carol and their son and daughter. Interests outside of work include outdoor activities of skiing, bicycling and hiking.
Tyler performs property accountant work at Gart Properties. Tyler began his career in Accounts Payable at Probuild Holdings in 2009. He worked his way into an Accountant position at CorePower Yoga and has been an accountant ever since. In 2017, Tyler joined Gart Properties leaving National Corporate Housing. He received his BS in Accounting at Metro State College of Denver.
