We are the descendants of Francisco Granda y Iturralde and Filomena de Leon y Buyson. Francisco was a Spanish criollo - a pure blood Spaniard born in a colony of Spain, in this case most likely the Philippines. Filomena was the daughter of a prominent family with Chinese and possibly Spanish roots (more on this later). Through them, we are related to de Leon, Buyson, de Keyser, Escaler, Santos, David, Panlilio, Joven, Martinez, and other Capampangan families.
