Andrew Albright is a seasoned installer who sharpened his skills working for Thrasher Basement System's radon team for two years before joining National Radon Defense Midwest. His expertise and enthusiasm make him a great addition to our team!
Andrew leads a radon mitigation team, handling and directing the installation of radon mitigation systems and ensuring customer satisfaction as a licensed Radon Mitigation and Measurement Specialist in Nebraska and Iowa. Radon mitigation is more than a job to Andrew, it's an opportunity to put his problem-solving skills to the test in order to ensure customer safety. Mitigating radon is serious work, and Andrew approaches it with energy, creativity, and concern. When he isn't helping families across Nebraska and Iowa, Andrew enjoys hiking, reading, cooking, and gaming near his home in Elkhorn, Nebraska.

Byron Carpenter joined National Radon Defense Midwest in November 2020, bringing with him plenty of experience: licensed in Radon Measurement and working in the radon and indoor air quality industries for the previous five years. Steadfast and genuine, Byron has been a great addition to our team!
Servicing existing systems, diagnosing, and repairing issues, and providing general maintenance are Byron's specialties. He appreciates helping homeowners understand how they can easily improve their indoor air quality by showing and explaining ways to provide healthy air. Byron prefers to spend his spare time with his wife and enjoys outdoor activities such as camping, hunting, and hiking. He also loves working in his shop on woodworking and metalworking projects.

Carey Legvold, based in Oskaloosa, IA, serves as our Project Specialist who has a solid experience in core drilling concrete and PVC installation. Chris' day-to-day involves educating individuals and families about the health effects of radon and air quality. Passionate about problem-solving, he proposes effective solutions to mitigate any concerns, ensuring peace of mind for our clients. Curt Drew is an entrepreneur, author, indoor air quality expert, franchisee, and franchisor. Curt has led the growth of a startup radon testing and mitigation business into the largest network of independent radon companies in North American. Based in Omaha, NE, National Radon Defense Midwest serves as the showcase dealership for a network of radon companies serving 34 states and 2 Canadian provinces.
Curt oversees the network, National Radon Defense, and our local operation, National Radon Defense Midwest. Curt is so grateful for the talented team members working at NRD Midwest and NRD Network.
In 2007, Curt started National Radon Defense (NRD) with a vision of creating a national franchise network of quality-focused and progressive companies. National Radon Defense provides network members training, business coaching, operational systems, marketing lead sources, software, proprietary products, and distribution services.
With the power of the extensive National Radon Defense network, Curt cherishes the impact we are making on improving the indoor living environments for thousands of people every day. Curt is inspired and driven by his purpose of helping entrepreneurs in and out of the National Radon Defense network improve their lives. He also loves providing career opportunities to his team members that help them grow and accomplish their personal goals. Curt has been married to his wife for over 24 years. They have three children (girl and two boys) and reside in Omaha, Nebraska.

Curt resides in Omaha, Nebraska, and has been married for more than 22 years. He also enjoys spending quality time with his 3 kids.
Darren Verber is our dedicated Project Specialist hailing from Council Bluffs, Iowa. He has a solid decade of radon mitigation experience from S.W.A.T. Environmental in Pennsylvania, Darren holds certifications as a radon technician and welder bridge code. Upon his start, he shows passion for helping people and finding fulfillment in making homes safer. Beyond work, Darren enjoys spending quality time with friends and family. His commitment to service and genuine care for others make him a valuable asset to our team.

Riah Davis is our Account Manager at Iowa Radon Defense and Iowa Duct Defense. Currently residing in Council Bluffs, Iowa, she earned her career background from Fett's City Motors. Riah gained experience managing various accounts, handling payments, making calls, and handling the repossession necessities. Her role involved extensive communication with customers to establish viable payment plans. Riah's passion in customer service brings valuable expertise to the table.
With her new role with us, the primary responsibilities entail managing the day-to-day customer-based needs such as making outbound calls and managing the Shield Plan. Riah finds great joy in the welcoming environment fostered by the company's vibrant workforce. When not at work, Riah enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. In addition, Riah actively participates in coaching softball and cheer, displaying a passion for nurturing and supporting others in their athletic side.
Rusty Wessel is based in Des Moines, Iowa, he is a dedicated Project Specialist with a strong track record of 4 years in the field. Rusty's hands-on experience speaks volumes about his expertise. He has been involved deep in installing radon mitigation systems on a daily. He also finds immense satisfaction in his role, knowing he's contributing to people's sense of safety within their homes. The commitment he has to this cause shines through in his work. When not on the job, Rusty can be found embracing outdoor activities, which reflect his cool and adventurous personality.
