Ben Huffer joins Isomer Project Group to expand industry capabilities through experience in process, chemical, mechanical, and nuclear engineering. Ben is excited to join the client-minded Isomer team, continuing to provide excellent engineering and project management solutions.
Daniel began his career in structural engineering upon graduation from Clemson University. He served as a lead structural engineer and department group leader before moving into project management and leading large capital projects. His focus has been on EPC fast-track execution, project delivery, global workshare, continuous improvement, and innovative project tools and systems. His leadership has contributed to the successful execution of projects up to $300 million with teams of up to 50 professionals serving global customers. His experience includes project management, procurement and subcontract management, department group leadership, and structural engineering excellence. He is a licensed professional engineer (PE) and structural engineer (SE) from coast to coast. Daniel is passionate about providing first-class service to our customers and building successful teams. Drive, communication, organization, and project delivery excellence are key attributes that he provides his clients, project teams, and Isomer Project Group, where he is a partner of the company.
Daniel met his wife Laura at Clemson, where they both studied structural engineering. After working together for several years, Laura now stays at home with their three young children and leverages her strength for the family and community. You'll often find the Deery family hiking, riding bikes on the Swamp Rabbit Trail, spending the day in Clemson, or serving at Grace Church. Daniel enjoys coffee, fellowship, playing guitar, and spending time outside - whether it be running, biking, hiking, or skiing. Like his partners, Daniel is an avid Clemson sports fan.
Drew began his career in design engineering upon graduation from Clemson University with a Mechanical Engineering degree. He has served as a lead mechanical/process engineer and mechanical department manager as well as serving as a project engineer on capital projects of all sizes. With over 15 years of experience with large EPC firms, his most recent focus has been in Energy Transition, primarily with renewable fuels sourced from woody biomass and fat feedstocks. Drew has successfully executed and supported multiple EPC projects up to $500MM from conception through mechanical completion. Drew has also completed FEED efforts on projects up to $2 Billion in the specialty chemical, pulp and paper, bioprocessing, and renewable fuels fields. His experience includes process equipment design, HVAC, equipment/piping layout, procurement, materials engineering, pipe stress analysis, construction support, operations management, project management, subcontract management, as well as managing sizeable mechanical engineering teams. As a licensed professional engineer (PE) in multiple states, Drew is passionate about providing engineering solutions and managing successful teams. A broad technical range, honed coordination abilities, and years of leadership experience are some of the key attributes he offers to his clients, project teams, and Isomer Project Group, where he is a staff engineer in the company.
Drew and Ashley are natives of the Greenville area and have lived there since college. They have two boys and a dog named Reese. Ashley currently stays home to raise the boys and hopes to reenter the HR recruiting field she left several years ago to start a family. As a family, they enjoy traveling, hiking, and being outside. Drew loves to be outdoors, whether it be backpacking, camping, hunting, or cycling. His most recent side project is restoring his 1973 Ford Bronco.
Isaac Smith joins Isomer Project Group bringing expertise in engineering and project execution through experiences in renewables, chemicals and pulp & paper markets. Our customers will benefit from his passion for developing novel project systems and his leadership on projects.
Isomer Project Group welcomes J.R. Stanley as a Project Engineer to work with the Process and Mechanical teams. A commitment of Isomer is to hire and mentor young engineers with technical skills, coachability and leadership potential, which J.R. fits perfectly.
James Martzin is excited to join Isomer Project Group and help shape the next generation of project execution approaches. With a background in engineering design, construction and startup support, and a customer-first mindset, he is a valuable asset to the team.
