I have been working in the design field for more than 30 years. My career has taken me in many different directions. Most of them by accident! While in art school, I started working in the sign industry. I never in a million years would have thought that I would have stayed there as long as I did. I learned A LOT as I was a "Jackie of all trades". Design, management, customer service…you name it! I went through 2 owners during my 12 years. It was a nice feeling to know the sale of the business from Owner 1 to Owner 2 hinged upon you staying! I have to admit that I thought about buying the business when Owner 2 decided to retire, but alas, I decided to move on to another exciting adventure. Twelve years of signs made me feel a bit stagnant... The next leg of my journey was very, very chaotic. I ran a small Awards business for an elderly gentleman.
