Brian "Wally" Wallenhorst - CEO

Brian "Wally" Wallenhorst is a Managing Partner of Sail to Steam, LLC with over 20 years of experience driving growth for Federal IT contractors including winning 100+ contracts and task orders valued at over $2B. Prior to starting S2S, Mr. Wallenhorst served as Vice President of Business Development at Perspecta, Inc. (Perspecta) where he focused on large scale business development and capture efforts. Mr. Wallenhorst joined Perspecta through its acquisition of Knight Point Systems, LLC where he worked for over ten years in multiple capacities focused on corporate growth and operations, most recently as the Director of Corporate Strategy. He drove over 15x growth at KPS through the expansion of capabilities, winning IDIQs and GWACs, and leading capture and proposals teams to high win rates across multiple Federal agencies. He served as the Program Manager for the DHS EAGLE II IDIQ contract where KPS was awarded more Task Orders than any other vendor totaling $400M+ in contract value. Mr. Wallenhorst led the planning and diligence efforts for KPS' sale to Perspecta in 2019. Prior to joining KPS, Mr. Wallenhorst led consulting teams at SunGard Availability Services and served as a Principal Analyst at Project Performance Corporation (PPC). Mr. Wallenhorst has a BS in Integrated Science and Technology from James Madison University (JMU) and an MS in Integrated Marketing and Communications from West Virginia University

Ryan Lewis - CEO

Ryan Lewis is a Managing Partner of Sail to Steam, LLC with more than a decade of experience in the Federal information technology and services industry. At Knight Point Systems (KPS), Mr. Lewis held various cross-functional roles ranging from leading $100M+ contracts, to serving as a cloud technical subject matter expert, to driving KPS' innovations and establishing KPS' significant IP portfolio of patents and trademarks. Mr. Lewis ultimately held a Director position leading BD, Capture, Proposal, and Technical SME teams in the pursuit and execution of the sales lifecycle and pipeline across Defense, Law Enforcement, Healthcare, and Civilian segments up through KPS' sale to Perspecta for $250M in 2019. At Perspecta, Mr. Lewis served in a capture role leading multiple billion dollar pursuits and coaching orals and technical challenge teams until he took a key role leading the national security business development team in the establishment and prosecution of a $20B+ pipeline across Homeland, Justice, State, and other enforcement agencies. Mr. Lewis holds both a BS in Aerospace Engineering and MS in Management of Information Technology from the University of Virginia.
