WHITMORE PROJECT

Whitmore Village and Wahiawa Town is the birth place of the Whitmore Project that is located at the Heart of O'ahu between two volcanic mountains, the Ko'olau and Ka'ala mountains. These two locations are unique as both are surrounded by Ag land and Wahiawa Town is surrounded by the only lake existent on the island. As Hawaii's sugar cane and pineapple industry diminish at a rapid pace, Hawai'i has been very reliant on importing most of its food supply from the continental U.S. and foreign countries around the world. The state has committed to solving Hawaii's farming issues by establishing the Agribusiness Development Corporation (ADC). ADC will bring together multiple stakeholders to create a public private partnership for the Whitmore Project...
