is an identified Traditional Owner on Masig Island, as well as a former Councillor of the Regional Council. Fraser has been involved in numerous tourism initiatives across the Torres Strait and has a long track record of public service including as a Board Member with a Queensland Health Service.
Fraser also has an extensive tourism network inside Queensland including as a committee member on the First Nations Tourism Working Group for the Queensland Tourism Industry Council.
Mr Palmer has gained broad based experience in Senior Management on a wide range of complex projects in North Queensland and Overseas. He has worked at senior levels of leadership in both Government and private sectors.
He currently operates a small group of experienced professional via his Consultancy business - Palmer Consultancy. John has a balanced, practical and professional approach supported by a keen eye for detail. He moved to the Torres Strait in 2014 and is proud to call the region home which he shares with his wife and young son.
