Biography Adam J. Beauregard acts in a wide range of civil, commercial and administrative litigation involving complex issues and matters of strategic importance. His versatility, dedication and creativity contribute to the successful formulation of tailored solutions to his client's challenges.

Alexandra Fabre

Biography Alexandra Fabre has completed an internship with the firm as part of Université de Sherbrooke's co-op program in the summer of 2021 and winter of 2023. She is currently enrolled in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program in parallel with her law studies.

Alexandre Furino

Biography Alexandre Furino is a Partner at the firm, with a diversified practice, revolving around civil and commercial litigation, as well as arbitration. He leads, amongst others, large-scale professional and D&O liability cases, contractual disputes, competition and construction litigation matters. Alexandre advises and represents our clients in complex and sensitive business matters, as well as in injunction cases, both as counsel for plaintiffs and defendants. As a litigator, he has defended their interests before all levels of Quebec courts and before several arbitration and administrative tribunals.

Aliya Behar

Biography Aliya Behar is currently completing her B.C.L/J.D. at McGill University and is set to article at Woods in 2025.

Biography Arielle Reeves-Breton is a lawyer in civil and commercial litigation. She joined the firm after completing her articling with a large regional law firm.

Cara Cameron

Biography Cara Cameron is a highly skilled litigator and negotiator trusted by clients with their most challenging commercial disputes, specifically in matters concerning contractual and shareholders' rights, as well as white collar investigations and defence, commercial fraud, asset tracing and recovery proceedings. Cara has substantial experience in managing large and complex multijurisdictional cases, where success depends on the effective coordination of multi-professional teams.

Caroline Biron

Biography Managing partner of the firm since 2019 and litigator since 1992, Caroline Biron advises the firm's clients in the resolution of high-stakes disputes in a variety of areas, ranging from commercial law, corporate law, employment law, civil litigation (including defamation issues), privacy and professional liability law.

Catherine Couture

Biography Catherine completed her law degree at Université de Québec à Montréal, where she distinguished herself both by her outstanding results and her ongoing involvement. She was named to the Faculty's honour roll and was active as a mentor to her peers.

Charbel G. Abi-Saad

Biography Charbel G. Abi-Saad is a civil and commercial litigation lawyer. He is involved in complex and large-scale litigation files, particularly in class actions, defamation suits, corporate and financial disputes, injunctions and commercial arbitrations.

Emily Martin

Biography Since joining the firm, Emily Martin is developing a diversified practice focused on both civil and commercial litigation as well as arbitration. Emily is in involved in major and complex files in matters of professional liability, regulatory issues and contractual disputes. During her articling position at a regional firm in Quebec City and prior to being called to the Quebec bar in 2021, she was involved in research and drafting for commercial litigation, insurance litigation, and transportation law files.

Emmanuelle Lanctôt

Emmanuelle Lanctôt joined our litigation team after having completed her articling with the firm. Particularly meticulous and skilled in legal analysis and drafting, she is active in the firm's complex litigation files, particularly in the areas of private international law, class actions and defamation.

Ghazal Sari

Biography Ghazal Sari is beginning her legal career as a civil and commercial litigator after completing her articling with the firm. She focuses her practice on dispute resolution, particularly in complex commercial disputes as well as construction and infrastructure litigation. She also contributes regularly to class action cases.

Hon. Clément Gascon

Biography The Honourable Clément Gascon joined Woods as Senior Counsel in the Spring of 2020. After a career of more than seventeen years in the Canadian judiciary, he returned to the private practice of law, which he had left in 2002. He uses his in-depth expertise and experience to guide and assist parties and their counsel in resolving disputes through arbitration at the national and international levels and acts as a strategic advisor in the insolvency, restructuring and litigation matters of the firm.

Hon. Joseph R. Nuss

Biography The Honourable Joseph R. Nuss, Q.C., is a former Justice of the Quebec Court of Appeal. He joined Woods LLP, as Senior Counsel, in December 2009 following his retirement from the Court. In addition to giving advice as senior counsel, he concentrates his practice in the fields of domestic and international arbitration and mediation.

Biography Jennifer Price is completing her law degree at the Université de Montréal and will be articling with the firm in 2025.

Joshua Crowe

Biography Joshua (Josh) Crowe practices civil and commercial litigation across a number of industries. He frequently intervenes in litigation involving multidisciplinary issues, often with highly technical and cross-border aspects. In addition to representing the firm's clients before all levels of court in Quebec, he also acts as counsel or tribunal assistant in domestic and international arbitrations, including investor-state proceedings.

Biography Justina Di Fazio has a diverse civil and commercial litigation practice focusing on highly complex business and legal issues at all levels of court, including administrative tribunals.

Biography Lara Itani completed the BCL/JD program and a minor in Political Science at McGill University, coupled with a semester of study in International, European and Comparative Law at the University of Trento in Italy.

Louis Seveno
