DanceXtra is an innovative, vibrant, and forward-thinking dance and live entertainment business based in Birmingham, West Midlands. As a respected dance company in the area, we run dance classes, special workshops, and private dance lessons for adults including wedding day first dance choreography... Formed in 1998 in Redditch by Kit McMurrugh, the team at DanceXtra started to teach country and western line dancing at The Irish Centre in Digbeth. This was quickly followed by line dancing classes in Redditch, Cotterridge, and Kings Heath. Social dances were put on in the local area, the main one being at Selly Oak, with regular live country music acts... At DanceXtra today, we teach the Argentine tango, salsa, swing, and all of the ballroom and Latin dances in European and American styles. Our team also offer the opportunity to learn dance choreography to make your wedding day even more special. We have also introduced modern jive classes and individual private dance lessons.
