Thompson has represented individuals charged with crimes in courts across the Midlands of South Carolina. He has handled numerous cases from start to finish, from serious felonies such as sex crimes and violent offenses to property crimes and drug charges. He has handled numerous matters such as driving under the influence, driving under suspension, and other traffic cases in Magistrate and Municipal Courts. Additionally, he frequently represents juveniles charged with criminal offenses in Family Court. Thompson is an experienced Family Court attorney who represents individuals in matters related to divorce, child custody, property division, spousal support, and other issues. Also, he frequently represents individuals in abuse and neglect proceedings brought by the Department of Social Services (DSS). Thompson has experience in Probate Court with matters related to the protection of persons under disability and their property. This includes serving as an Attorney for Alleged Incapticiated Individuals (AII) and as a Guardian ad Litem for the AII. Thompson graduated from Wofford College with a Bachelor of Arts in Government with a minor in Economics. Thompson graduated with a Juris Doctorate from the Charleston School of Law. He has is member of the South Carolina Bar and the Sumter and Kershaw County Bars.
