My name is Dan Ihara and in 2005, I started in real estate, and a year later my wife Julie joined me in creating the Ihara Team. We quickly discovered our calling which was to support seniors in their search to find safe and comfortable living solutions as they age. We found that as they got older, the stairs tended to become more difficult to navigate, the yard became too much work to maintain, and deferred maintenance crept up to become an overwhelming problem to deal with. In 2006 we started educating our clients and the general population on senior living options in our desire to help them find a more comfortable living environment. We also shared options like having family help around the home, bringing skilled nursing into the home, downsizing to a smaller, safer home, or moving to a retirement community or care home. Our goal was to provide options so that our seniors and their families could make good educated decisions about the care and the most appropriate living environment. However, we didn't stop there. We soon noticed that many seniors faced challenges with investment properties, which often had deferred maintenance. Many were concerned about capital gains taxes and many became aware of other families dealing with family disputes after their parents passed away. In general, most were faced with the daunting task of transferring wealth. We found that some wanted the cash flow from their investment properties and were not educated on how to maximize their cash-on-cash return on their investments. So now we offer a Free Asset Performance Test for your investment properties so we can clearly measure their return on investment as it relates to the value of their property. Born and raised in Hawaii, he attended the University of Hawaii at Manoa where he played baseball and obtained his bachelor's degree. Ryan Lowe

Ihara Team Buyer and Client Care Specialist, and team Chef. His passionate energy and down-to-earth manner help him walk alongside his clients through the homebuying journey and help them reach their ultimate goals. Ryan was born and raised in the North Bay Area of California, traveling to Oahu every, where he would live at his grandmother's home and learn his family's history. Ryan graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. In his free time, he enjoys getting creative in the kitchen, bodysurfing at Sandy's, spending time with his friends, family, and cat, and watching football.

Shane Breeden

Ihara Team Chief Negotiator. Shane works side by side with the listing team, once your home is active on the market he handles the offers and works closely with escrow throughout the closing process to assure a smooth transaction, by understanding the buyer's motivation and the seller's unique needs. Due to the high volume of business the team generates, Shane is exposed to many more deals than the average agent and has the experience to get the job done and close the sale. Shane enjoys being at the beach with his family and surfing various breaks on the south shore in his free time.

Tiffany Young

Tiffany Young, Buyer specialist extraordinaire, coolest mom ever, wife to the chief negotiator of The Ihara Team, Shane Breeden, and connoisseur of designer shoes. Tiffany is constantly exploring the island, learning about the local dynamics of each neighborhood. Her top priority is knowing the inventory so she can best serve her clients' needs. And don't be fooled by her stilettos...she will climb ladders and crawl under homes to advocate for you at the highest level. In her free time, she enjoys beach days with the family.
