Dr. Jerry Jacob is a licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Texas. Dr. Jacob graduated from The University of North Texas where he received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and later went on to Texas Tech University Health Science Center, where he received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree.

Gloria Gonzales

Gloria Gonzales is a family nurse practitioner bringing more than twenty years of experience to Unity Wellness Group with locations in Mckinney, Bedford and Dallas Texas. Gloria is committed to provide compassionate personalized care and to exhaust all appropriate non-surgical treatment options available for our patients. Gloria's goal is to restore the patients quality of life, at home, as well as, getting through the workday without pain. Iris Carrillo

Iris Carrillo is the scheduling and referral coordinator at Unity Wellness Clinic. She was was born and raised in McKinney, Texas. She is currently finishing her Bachelors in Business at Austin College in Sherman, TX. She enjoys helping/caring for others, especially our patients. On her free time she loves to travel/ go out with family & friends!

Jennifer Becerra

Jennifer Becerra was born in Santa Barbara California. As soon as she graduated from high school she immediately started in the medical field, working as an optician for an optometrist for eight years. In 2008 she moved to the great state of Texas where she worked in the largest OWCP clinic in the nation for eight years gaining a lot of experience with OWCP cases. Jennifer was a case manager for both OWCP patients and also was a Casemanager for PI cases. Over the years she has developed a passion to help our federal injury employees. Being a case manager for OWCP patients has been the most rewarding position she has ever been in. She will continue to assist our Federal injured employees for as long as she can.

Karissa Phillips

Karissa Phillips is currently a medical assistant and marketer for Unity Wellness Group. Karissa was born and raised in Fort Worth, TX. She is currently studying to get her Bachelors of Science in Integrative Studies from the University of North Texas. She takes pride in providing the best assistance possible and has a passion for helping others. In her free time, Karissa likes hanging out with friends and family, traveling and exploring new places, and taking her dog out for hikes and adventures.

Michael Young Pyon

Michael grew up in Arlington, Texas. For undergrad, he graduated from UT Austin with a major in nutrition and minor in philosophy, GO HORNS!! After school, Michael moved back to Arlington and attended PTA school at Concorde in Dallas where he graduated in 2019. Hobbies include powerlifting, e-sports, and playing the piano. We have a great team here at Unity and I'm excited to be a part of it.

Michelle Newton

Michelle Newton is a Nurse Practitioner that has been involved as a caregiver and had a passion for medicine since childhood. She has over 20 years of professional medical experience and has specialized as an Advanced Practice Family Nurse Practitioner. Her vast experience includes: Emergency and Urgent Care Medicine Family Practice Pain Management Rehabilitation and Functional Medicine Michelle is known to her patients as a unique provider that incorporates individualized care and promotes optimal wellness and function. ​Michelle has professionally worked on promoting education and literature, and promoting student learning and educational resources. Her resources include: a chapter book with Elsevier publishing company - Mosby's Emergency Medical Reference, publication in Advanced Healthcare Publications regarding Nurse Practitioner Profession in March of 2009; and published in MTHFR Doctors regarding MTHFR and the Domino Effect in March of 2017. She remains a distinguished Member of Sigma Theta Tau from her educational honors and is a professional member of multiple advanced professional specialized organizations. ​Michelle's greatest delight is to be mom to her four amazing children and spending time with them hiking, camping, and exploring the world beside them.

Nina Rodriguez

Nina Rodriguez is a Practice Administrator and Case Manager for all locations. She has over 30 years of experience in the medical field. Settings that include:

Russell Skinner

Dr. Skinner graduated with honors from Abilene Christian University with a bachelor's degree in biology. He attended Southwestern Medical School in Dallas where he earned his medical degree. He then attended Texas Tech University where he completed his residency in Family Medicine in 2000. His first practice was a general family medicine practice where he provided care to all ages, birth through geriatrics. He moved to the DFW metroplex in 2008 and began working in an urgent care setting. After 4 years of urgent care, he moved to a more integrated practice setting, working with physical medicine providers. Dr. Skinner is truly a physician who focuses as much on his patients' future as their present, a physician who actually does prevention.

Sumit Katyal

Sumit Katyal, M.D. is a fellowship-trained, triple board-certified interventional pain medicine specialist. He grew up in the midwest and completed his residency in anesthesiology and fellowship in interventional pain medicine at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic, consistently ranked one of the top 3 hospitals in the United States by U.S. News & World Report. After completing his fellowship, he was invited to join the faculty as an associate staff physician at the Cleveland Clinic, where he continued his clinical, educational and research efforts for nearly four years before relocating to Dallas to pursue a career in private practice. Dr. Katyal is board certified in anesthesiology and pain medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology and in headache medicine by the United Council of Neurologic Subspecialties. His experience and expertise is in minimally invasive treatment modalities for spine pain and sciatica, spinal implantable devices and interventional procedures for patients suffering from chronic headaches, facial pain and neck pain. Areas of special interest include regenerative medicine and stem cell therapy for shoulder, hip, and knee joint pain. He brings the most comprehensive care to his patients suffering from pain with goals of improving their ability to function and quality of life. In his free time, Dr. Katyal enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. He trained in muay thai kickboxing and enjoys exercising, meditation, and yoga as well.
