Karl Jefferies

Karl has been working as a Recruitment Consultant since January 2008 after spending many years as a Senior Manager for Housing Corporations. Managing over 200 staff on a daily basis has given him the temperance and ability to relate well and foster relationships with individuals. Being responsible for the recruitment of staff in all his previous roles has equipped him to view individuals in their entirety and to see what transferable skills or experiences they may have. Having also served in the Falklands, Karl has a great strength in being both a leader when required and a team player. Whilst travelling with the marines he was entrenched in various cultures and differing countries offering him a diverse spectrum of life, something that continues to be a demonstrable and admirable quality in his work with Solutions Action Management. He is fast to learn and has been studying elements specific to the substance misuse field in order to provide an excellent service to both candidates and clients. He is the one responsible for the constant emails and communications from SAM Recruitment, as many of you are aware!!!

Margaret Page

Margaret's responsibilities include contacting people who have registered with the agency, confirming that their details have reached us successfully, and requesting a current and comprehensive CV if one has not been uploaded. She will also request further information such as referees, qualifications and essential documents, for example, a CRB. If you are successful in securing a position through SAM Recruitment then she is the person who receives timesheets and deals with your weekly payments so it is a good idea to be nice to her! Margaret deals with any administrative queries or problems you may have in a cheerful and accommodating manner. As a New Zealander she has a fairly relaxed and flexible attitude to most issues and always strives to do her best for all those involved with Sam Recruitment.

Samantha Morris - Founder

Sam established Solutions Action Management in 2001 as a result of the ever growing need for specialist, skilled and experienced personnel. Prior to setting up the company, Sam started as a student at WDP where she underwent her Social Work training in conjunction with Brunel University. She then continued to study and work undertaking her MA in Social Work at The Tavistock Institute whilst working as a Care Manager for Local Authority Substance Misuse Teams. Wanting to make an impact within the field, she took a strategic role and became a DAAT Co-ordinator. In 2001 she decided to work on a freelance basis and undertook needs assessments, CAD projects and interim DAAT roles for various DAAT Partnerships. With a vast network and a growing demand for consultants and temporary staff, SAM (Solutions Action Management) was founded. Solutions Action Managment continued to develop and is now registered with the Care Quality Commission (formerly CSCI) and now supplies substance misuse nurses alongside social workers, drug workers, counsellors, senior managers and strategic consultants. Sam feels she is best placed to assist all organisations involved with substance misuse remits and with many years experience within the field she continues to provide excellent personnel to assist all levels of services. She is always available to discuss your needs whether you are a volunteer trying to find work for the first time or a Managing Director looking for an exceptional consultant.
