DRIFTLESS HILLS FARM

Driftless Hills farm is a small scale family farm raising small batches of rotationally pastured meat. We believe in growing nutrient-dense food that is raised with humane stewardship of our animals and resilience of our land... We are the Boone family. We are a small family farm located 9 miles south of Decorah, Iowa. Our story begins in a small town in Northern California where we met and got married. It was here, when we began dreaming the dream, and creating this inspired reality of what is now Driftless Hills Farm... With the desire and our dream strong in our hearts, we looked towards Iowa. Iowa offered a promise of affordable living, green grass, and family support. We took a chance, moved our little family, and began living the dream first by purchasing a small five acre farm, and later, moving to our current farm that we now lease from The Sustainable Iowa Land Trust (SILT). This was a leap of faith in ourselves, our new community, and what the Universe could help us..
