Adam is the Client Services Director for Your Legacy Legal Care, one of the firm's paralegals, and oversees the marketing department. Adam meets with clients to discuss the numerous ways estate planning may be beneficial to them and their families and find a plan that best suits their needs. He obtained his degree in Paralegal Studies in May of 2020 and plans to advance his education by obtaining a degree in Marketing. Adam is a Houston native and loves to be out in the city when not working or studying. Outside of work, Adam enjoys spending time with his fur baby (Bentley) and family, exploring new restaurants, and traveling as much as possible. Adam actively serves on the board of Community Assistance Providers (CAP) of Greater Pearland and is also an active member of The Paralegal Division of the State Bar of Texas.
Amber is the Office Manager for Your Legacy Legal Care. She is responsible for ensuring that our practice runs as smoothly as possible to better serve our clients. Amber loves being a part of something that helps many people and is one of the essential members of our team that makes sure our clients are well taken care of. Amber enjoys spending time with her husband and her three daughters, being a softball mom, and playing with her pets.

Danielle graduated from University of Houston-Clear Lake in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies. She has been with Your Legacy Legal Care for almost five years, primarily in the probate department and recently transitioned into the estate planning department. She married her husband Al in March 2010 and welcomed their amazing daughter, Mary, in June 2010. Mary loves playing soccer and practicing karate at the local martial arts school. They love to rescue pets and currently have Maverick (an American Staffordshire Terrier), Katie (a Weimaraner/Lab mix), and Buddy (LaPerm/Ragamuffin mix). Danielle particularly loves working at Your Legacy Legal Care to assist those in our community with obtaining peace of mind through successful estate planning as well as helping others through difficult times when a probate is necessary.

Kathaleen discovered her interest in the legal field while serving on a grand jury in Galveston County almost 10 years ago. She has over 7 years of paralegal experience focusing on civil litigation. She is perfectly suited for paralegal work due to her attention to detail and multitasking abilities, and derives great satisfaction from a job well done. She grew up in Dickinson, TX and enjoys lifting heavy things at the gym, cheat meals, knitting/crocheting, cross stitching, completing DIY house projects, and adopting old dogs that no one else wants. She is excited to be a part of the Your Legacy Legal Care team.
Kim Creel is the guardianship and probate attorney for Your Legacy Legal Care, with additional experience in family law. Kim Creel believes that helping people through some of the most difficult times of their life is rewarding and important work. She joined Your Legacy Legal Care part-time in September of 2016 and took a brief break from practicing law to focus on family.
She practiced family law and probate law prior to her children being born and resumed practicing law when her children grew older. Kim Creel obtained her Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies from the University of Houston - Clear Lake and her law degree from South Texas College of Law.
In her free time, she enjoys critiquing her oldest daughter's art competition pieces and attending her younger daughter's volleyball and basketball tournaments, along with spending time with her family. Kim Creel is an active member of the Texas State Bar.

Our founder, Kimberly Hegwood, witnessed her grandparents struggle with the ins and outs of Social Security, estate planning, asset protection, elder law, and other obstacles correlated with aging. After experiencing her loved ones' challenges first-hand, she founded Your Legacy Legal Care to assist other individuals and families who are facing similar difficulties. For over 25 years, our firm has helped families plan for the future, protect their loved ones, and have guided them through the unexpected.
Kim Hegwood, born in Bay City, is an Elder Law and Estate Planning Attorney based in Houston, Texas. Kim has been a practicing Attorney since she graduated from South Texas College of Law in 1996. After watching her grandparents struggle to maintain their independence as they grew older, trying to navigate the challenges of aging, and deal with the legal, financial, and emotional challenges that our loved ones face in their golden years, Kim dedicated her career to helping families preserve their dignity and protect their assets.
Kim started her own law firm in 1998 so she could practice law her way - with a focus on family. Kim is passionate about educating her clients, helping them choose legal strategies that will achieve their goals and help them age with security and dignity. As a mother of three, Kim enjoys spending most of her free time with her children and grandchildren when she is not volunteering at one of her favorite charities.
Kim's practice focuses exclusively on Elder Law, Asset Protection, Estate Planning, Medicaid Crisis Planning, Probate, and Guardianship. By witnessing what her grandparents endured, and with a growing number of Dementia diagnoses, Kim understands what her clients are going through and dedicates herself and her practice to treating each of her clients as if they were her own family. Kim takes pride in helping families after facing a diagnosis of Dementia to help avoid a costly guardianship process. Kim continues to expand her practice to better serve the needs of individuals throughout their golden years.

Lorraine Beahan is a Medicaid Paralegal who leads the Medicaid department. She ensures that families are kept "in the loop" and are always aware of the care their loved one is receiving. Lorraine assists our elder law attorney through the spend-down processes to qualify your loved one for Medicaid assistance when they need long-term care.
Lorraine is a graduate of Clear Creek High School and holds a degree from Okaloosa Walton Community College in Florida. She has worked side by side with Kim Hegwood for more than 20 years and holds experience in all areas of practice such as Family, Probate, Guardianship, Medicaid, and Estate Planning. Lorraine has served as Vice President of the Board for the Habitat for Humanity chapter in Pasadena and loves lending a helping hand when it is needed. When not at work, Lorraine enjoys spending time with her family and grandkids, and watching General Hospital.
Melissa started off in the banking field as a loan officer before transitioning over to the legal field and has since been working as a probate paralegal for the last 13 years. She is a native Houstonian and enjoys spending time outside with her 2 kids as much as possible.

Ragen is the Digital Marketing Coordinator for Your Legacy Legal Care, and she enjoys creating many of the digital assets for the firm and helping to manage their online presence. Ragen graduated Magna Cum Laude (with high honors) from the University of Houston in May of 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Digital Media with an emphasis in eMedia and a minor in Technology Leadership and Innovation Management. In her free time, she enjoys playing video games, listening to music, drawing, spending time with friends and family, and enjoying the outdoors with her two German Shepherds. Ragen was in the Spirit of Houston marching band for 3 years (although she has played the alto saxophone for a decade) and she was a member of the Graphic Communications Education Association Chapter at UH!
