Aaron Church

Aaron is a Partner in the Infrastructure team based in London, with a focus on origination, execution and asset management of investments in Europe. He has played a key role in 3i's acquisitions of Attero, Joulz, Herambiente, ESVAGT, Infinis and Tampnet, and is a director on the boards of Attero, Joulz and Oystercatcher. Prior to 3i, Aaron worked for HRL Morrison & Co, a major Australasian headquartered infrastructure fund manager, and the Boston Consulting Group. Aaron holds a B.Com from the University of Canterbury and a M.B.A. (Distinction) from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where he was a Fulbright Scholar.

Adrien Delmotte

Adrien is an Associate Director in 3i's Infrastructure team in London and joined in September 2015. He is primarily responsible for the origination and execution of deals in the infrastructure sector. He is currently involved in TCR and Valorem. Prior to joining 3i, Adrien worked in the investment banking division of Société Générale, advising on Financial Institution Group transactions. Adrien graduated from the Ecole Polytechnique.

Adrien Masson

Adrien Masson joined 3i in 2021 as a member of its European Private Equity team based in Paris. He holds a MSc in Financial Engineering from Ecole des Ponts Paristech and a MSc in Finance and Private Equity from the London School of Economics.

Alec Rubenstein

Alec joined 3i in 2015, based in 3i's North American Private Equity team. He focuses primarily on software and business & technology services with a focus on new investments in supply chain software, ERP, digital commerce, and infrastructure software. He also spends time in eCommerce and consumer. Alec has been involved in 3i's platform investments in WilsonHCG, MPM, Magnitude Software, insightsoftware, arrivia (formerly International Cruises & Excursions), Audley Travel, and Dynatect. He has also been involved in the SOR Technology, iCruise/WMPH and Thodacon GMBH transactions. He is currently a Board Director for arrivia and WilsonHCG. Prior to 3i, Alec was an Associate Consultant at Bain & Company where he worked in the private equity group and for corporate clients in the business services, consumer products and telecommunications sectors. His work included commercial due-diligence, growth strategy, post-merger integration, performance improvement and supply-chain restructuring. Alec graduated as a Robertson Scholar from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University, where he earned a BS in Business Administration and BA in Economics.

Alexandra Schaapveld

Anil Kohli

Anil joined 3i in 2007 and is the Partner responsible for 3i's Banking & Risk Team within the Private Equity division. Anil and his team have worked on comprehensive transactions across 3i's international platform including Scandlines, Mayborn, Norma, Xellia, Civica, Memora, Refresco, Action, Hilite, Amor, GEKA, Christ, WP, ATESTEO, Havea, Luqom, Formel D, Evernex and MPM. In addition to the Debt Capital Markets activities of the team, Anil also acts as a Second Partner on new transactions evaluated by 3i Private Equity. Anil has over 25 years of experience, having started at Lloyds Bank Corporate Banking in 1995. Anil subsequently worked for Dresdner Kleinwort from 1999, where he held various positions in Credit Risk Management, Structured Finance and Corporate Finance & Advisory, completing landmark transactions across a wide range of geographies, sectors and financing structures. Anil studied at Sussex University and holds a BA in Economics. He is an Associate Member of Corporate Treasurers.

Anna Dellis

Anna joined 3i in 2006 and is a Partner in the Infrastructure team. She leads asset management for the portfolio of economic infrastructure investments, taking on this role in 2018. Prior to that, in her first 12 years with the business Anna had a leading role on many of the large infrastructure investments made by 3i, including Oystercatcher, Elenia, Eversholt Rail and the 2017 acquisition of a portfolio of assets from the EISER Global Infrastructure Fund. Anna currently holds board positions at Belfast City Airport, ESP Utilities Group and at Advario Singapore (previously Oiltanking Singapore). Prior to 3i, Anna advised on infrastructure transactions at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She has a BA Joint Honours in French and German from the University of Nottingham and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.

Antoine Giroux

Antoine Giroux joined 3i in 2022 as a member of its European Private Equity team based in Paris. Prior to joining 3i, Antoine spent three years at LFPI Gestion where he supported a number of investments and was involved in the management of several portfolio companies. He started his career in investment banking at J.P. Morgan in 2014 in London and then New York within the Industrial and Consumer & Retail coverage teams. He holds a Masters in Management from HEC Paris.

Antoine Matton

Antoine is a Director in 3i's Infrastructure team in Paris and joined 3i in November 2013, following 3i's acquisition of Barclays Infrastructure Funds Management Limited. He joined BIFM in 2008. His role involves originating, evaluating and executing new investment opportunities in the infrastructure and energy sectors, with a particular focus on France, Spain and the Benelux. In particular, he led 3i Infrastructure plc's investment in the A9 motorway project in the Netherlands, and had a leading role in 3i Infrastructure plc's investment in Valorem, a leading independent renewable energy development and operating company. He retains responsibility for the asset management of this investment. Most recently, Antoine also worked on the acquisition of four transport concessions in Spain. Antoine graduated from Ecole Centrale Paris and holds a Licence in Economics, obtained with Honours, from the Paris Dauphine University.

Ashutosh Agrawal

Bernardo Sottomayor

Bernardo became Managing Partner, Co-Head of European Infrastructure alongside Scott Moseley in July 2022 and is a member of 3i Group's Executive and Investment Committees. Bernardo joined 3i in 2015 as a Partner with responsibility for origination and execution of new investments across Europe, principally economic infrastructure businesses. Bernardo has 18 years of infrastructure investment experience and was most recently a Partner at Antin Infrastructure which manages funds investing in infrastructure opportunities across Europe. Prior to Antin, Bernardo was Managing Director, Head of Acquisitions for Deutsche Bank's European infrastructure fund. His prior experience was in utilities, as Head of M&A at Energias de Portugal, and in infrastructure advisory with UBS and Citigroup. Bernardo holds an economics degree from the Nova School of Business and Economics in Lisbon, Portugal.

Ian Lobley

Ian joined 3i in 1987 and became a Partner in 1994 prior to its IPO on the London Stock Exchange. In his current role as Managing Partner, Asset Management, Ian is involved in investing and asset management activity across 3i Private Equity and Infrastructure. He sits on the boards of a number of leading, international companies including: AESSEAL (seals for rotating equipment), Cirtec Medical (medical device outsourcing) and Tato Holdings (biocides and specialty chemicals). Ian is also a Director of 3i Infrastructure plc, the FTSE250 listed long-term investor in infrastructure businesses and assets, and an NED of BSI Group, the global standards and services company driving company excellence and resilience. Prior to his current role, Ian led 3i's Technology business in Europe having invested in areas including security software (Sophos), artificial intelligence (Searchspace), mobile technology (Nujira). Ian graduated in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham. Prior to 3i, Ian worked as an Engineer for BOC Specialty Gases in the UK supplying the medical, semi-conductor and space research sectors.

Jake Behrman

Jake joined 3i in 2018 in the New York office and is a member of the Healthcare sector coverage team. Jake has been involved in 3i's investments in Cirtec Medical, SaniSure, and ten23 Health. Prior to joining 3i, Jake worked as an Associate at Metalmark Capital, a middle-market private equity that has managed more than $8 billion through its funds. While at Metalmark, he helped execute a number of platform investments and transformative portfolio company acquisitions. Jake was previously an Analyst in the Global Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Morgan Stanley. Jake graduated from the University of Michigan's Stephen M. Ross School of Business with High Distinction.

James Cox

He has been with 3i since 1998 having started his career at PiMS UK, a London based media services company, where he headed up the financial services account team. James subsequently joined 3i's London based portfolio management team in 2002 where his focus was managing higher value minority investments. James has more than 20 years' experience of managing minority and majority equity positions in Growth Capital and Buyout assets across a wide range of sectors. He has both invested in, and supported, companies at various stages of growth and completed a significant number of successful realisations.

James Dawes - CFO

James Hatchley - CFO

James is Group Finance Director of 3i Group plc. He was appointed to the Board in May 2022 and is a member of the Executive and Investment Committees. James joined 3i in 2017 and was Group Strategy Director until June 2022. Prior to joining 3i, James was Chief Operating Officer of KKR in Europe and, before that, Co-CEO of Avoca Capital. Earlier in his career, James was a corporate finance professional for 20 years, holding various roles at Freeman & Co., Greenhill & Co. and Schroders. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1992. He holds a First Class Joint Honours degree in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Surrey.

Jasi Halai - COO

Prior to 3i, Lauren was an associate in the corporate teams of Kirkland & Ellis International LLP and Travers Smith LLP in London, where she advised private equity funds and portfolio companies on international M&A, management incentivisation, restructurings and refinancings. Lauren is qualified as a solicitor of the courts of England & Wales and is registered as a foreign-qualified in-house attorney in New York. Lauren holds a BSc in Politics from the University of Bristol and completed her post-graduate legal studies at the University of Law, Guildford and BPP University, London.

Lesley Knox

Previously Matt was an Investment Director at Innisfree Limited where he was responsible for asset management of operational infrastructure projects and led on a number of secondary PPP acquisitions. Peter Wirtz

Peter joined 3i Germany in 1998. He was appointed co-Managing Director 3i Deutschland in May 2009 and Co-Head of Private Equity in April 2019. During his time at 3i, Peter has taken a leading role across more than 15 transactions including YDEON, Luqom (Lampenwelt), Christ, Scandlines, Amor and MotorenWerkeMannheim (MWM). Further transactions in which Peter has been involved include 3i's investments in arrivia (ICE), Action, Basic-Fit, NORMA, Hyva and Azelis. Peter currently sits on the Boards of Luqom, Christ, MPM and YDEON. Prior to joining 3i, Peter worked for Procter & Gamble and Deutsche Bank. Pierre-Axel Botuha

Pierre-Axel began his career at La Compagnie Financière Edmond de Rothschild, advising on M&A transactions in France, Germany and China. He previously worked at BCG, supporting international strategy projects in the industrials, logistics and automotive sectors, and L-GAM, a UK-based, long-term oriented, private equity firm. Pierre-Axel holds an MBA from INSEAD (with Distinction), a MSc in Engineering from Supelec Paris, and a Masters in Economics from Paris XI University.

Pieter de Jong

Pieter joined 3i in 2004, was Managing Director of 3i Benelux and has been co-Head Private Equity and a member of the Executive Committee since 2019. He is based in Amsterdam. He was a key member of the deal teams involved in Yanga, Mepal, Dutch Bakery, Royal Sanders, Basic-Fit, Weener Plastics, Lampenwelt, Refresco and Action. He currently sits on the Boards of Mepal, Dutch Bakery and Royal Sanders and is a Board Observer at Weener Plastics. Pieter has more than 25 years' experience in corporate finance, management and operations. He started his career at Stork in the US, before joining Van Den Boom Groep, a corporate finance consulting firm in Benelux, where he became partner responsible for M&A. After selling the company to NIBC, Pieter headed the M&A department. Pieter has an MBA degree from Georgia State University (USA) and a BBA degree from Nijenrode University (Netherlands).

Piotr Doniec

Rob joined 3i in 2017 as the Managing Partner for North American Infrastructure. He is a member of 3i's Executive Committee. Prior to joining 3i, Rob led Hastings Funds Management's infrastructure investment activities in North America & Europe and was a member of Hastings' Executive Committee and Investment Committee. Previously, Rob founded the infrastructure M&A practice at Morgan Stanley and Greenhill where he was a Managing Director, Head of Infrastructure Investment Banking for the Americas at both firms. He started his infrastructure career at Goldman Sachs after spending five years as an active-duty, naval officer in the U.S. Navy Nuclear Submarine Program. Rob holds an MBA from The Wharton School, a masters equivalent in nuclear engineering from the Bettis Reactor Engineering School, and a B.E., magna cum laude, in chemical engineering from Vanderbilt University.

Rémi Carnimolla - Managing Director

Rémi joined 3i in 2003. He is currently the Head of the French Private Equity team and is a member of the 3i Investment Committee. He sits on the Board of Evernex. In 2019, Rémi led 3i's investment in Evernex, a leading European provider of third party maintenance services for data centre infrastructure and quickly after, in 2020 the transformative acquisition of Technogroup. In 2017, he led 3i's investment in Havea, a European leader in the natural consumer healthcare industry, offering OTC / food supplements and hygiene products. Since 3i's investment, the company has completed five acquisitions (Ersa/Aragan, Densmore, Pasquali, Calmosine and ixX Pharma). Rémi also led 3i's investments in Keolis, Etanco, Vedici and Trescal as well as being involved in GEKA, ATESTEO, Formel D, Hans Anders, TCR and in 2021 MPM in the "natural pet food" segment Prior to joining 3i, Rémi founded and headed a French venture capital firm in Tunisia and spent three years with McKinsey. Scott Moseley joined the Infrastructure team in 2007 and was made Partner in 2012. Scott became Managing Partner and Co-Head of European Infrastructure in July 2022 and is also a member of 3i's Executive Committee and Investment Committee. Together with Bernardo Sottomayor, Scott is responsible for managing a team with approximately £6bn in invested capital across four Infrastructure funds, including our flagship fund, 3i Infrastructure plc, which has achieved asset level returns of 19% p.a. since its inception. Scott has direct investment experience across various sub-sectors including Digital Infrastructure (Tampnet and GCX), Energy (Elenia and ESVAGT), Transportation (Eversholt Rail Group) and Social Infrastructure (Cross London Trains).

Simon Friberg Andersen

Simon Friberg Andersen is a Digital Director based in London. His role is to drive digital strategies in 3i's portfolio companies across Europe and the US and help add digital businesses to the 3i portfolio. He previously worked at Marks and Spencer, where he was Head of Digital International since 2014. Prior to this, Simon was Head of Online Innovation at Woolworths (Australia), and he co-founded a data start-up (Userneeds) in 2008. He began his career at the Boston Consulting Group in 2002.
