The Westernmost coastline in Spain, which stretches from Gibraltar to the border with Portugal, the Costa de la Luz is Spain at its best - a stunning coastline which now is home to some beautiful golf courses and some authentic Andalucian resorts and cities, such as Cadiz, Jerez and beautiful Seville.

Mary McDowall set up Atlantic Golf Holidays in 2003. Mary had discovered the Costa de la Luz in 2001 when, in her previous role as a holiday Tour Leader, she had run a number of golf trips to the area. At that time there were hardly any other British companies visiting the region, but Mary recognised the potential there and that this would change over the years. Prior to setting up the company, Steve had worked for 27 years for BT where he was involved in a selection of management roles, most of which included direct work with customers. On his retirement in 2003, they decided to set up Atlantic Golf Holidays, utilising Mary's knowledge of the travel industry, Steve's customer service skills and their combined knowledge of and passion for the area.
