Dr Narayan is a Paediatric Respiratory Consultant (Paediatric Pulmonologist) at the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital (RMCH); one of the UK's premier paediatric respiratory units, situated within one of the largest UK postgraduate specialist research centres in Manchester. He leads the bronchoscopy, sleep and non-invasive ventilation and oxygen services at the children's hospital. Dr Brown has worked as a Consultant Haematologist at the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust since 2016 following her specialist training in haematology in the North West. Since 2017, she has been the General Haematology Lead and the Pre-Operative Anaemia Service Lead. Dr Brown has an active role in laboratory haematology and was Clinical Lead from 2017. Since April 2020, Dr Brown has been the Clinical Director of Laboratory Haematology. Dr Brown is a member of the Reporting Team for the regional haemato-oncology cancer diagnostics partnership for Manchester. Dr Brown has a broad haematology clinical practice, managing patients with haematological malignancy such as myeloma, chronic myeloid leukaemia, myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) and myelodysplastic syndromes. She is the Trust Lead for MPN patients and has a specialist interest in this area. She also manages general haematology patients including those with venous thromboembolism (DVT/PE), iron deficiency anaemia and chronic blood abnormalities such as neutropenia, thrombocytopenia and anaemia. Dr Brown is the Principal Investigator at the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust for studies in myeloproliferative disorders. She has also taken part in clinical trials in lymphoproliferative, myeloma and thrombotic disorders. She has published on haemostasis and thrombosis. Dr Brown is the Training Programme Director in Haematology for Health Education North West and has a passion for educating doctors and other health care professionals; she has mentioned two advanced nurse practitioners through their master's degrees and several nurses through their non-medical prescribing course.

Dr Sachin Mathur

Since 2011, Dr Mathur has been a Consultant Head & Neck and Neuroradiologist at Royal Preston Hospital, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust; the tertiary Neurosciences Centre for Lancashire and South Cumbria. He is currently the Trust Neuroradiology Lead and has also served as the Associate Clinical Director of Radiology from 2016-2018. In addition, Dr Mathur is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Cumbria. In 2009, Dr Mathur completed his training in radiology after rotating through various hospitals in the North West as part of the Manchester radiology training scheme and was awarded CCT with subspecialisation in Neuroradiology and Head & Neck imaging. Later, he was appointed as a Consultant Neuroradiologist at the Pennine Acute Hospitals NHS Trust; the regional Infectious Diseases Centre at this Trust provided him with experience in imaging of infectious diseases, especially HIV, in addition to the general neuro imaging. Dr Mathur reports on all aspects of brain and spine imaging, but has a particular interest in routine and advanced brain tumour imaging. He is a core member of the neuro-oncology, pituitary, skull base and neurology MDT's. He has a subspecialist interest in ENT / head and neck imaging, is a core member of the regional Head & Neck cancer MDT and is also the radiology lead for the NSSG. In addition, Dr Mathur has a keen interest in temporal bone and paranasal sinus imaging. Dr Mathur is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Cumbria and has provided education at both under-graduate and post-graduate level; working as a formal lecturer, tutor, clinical supervisor and educational supervisor. He is currently an RCR Examiner for the DDMFR examination at the Royal College of Radiology. He is also the immediate past Prafulla Kumar Ganguli professor (2018-2020); awarded by the Royal College of Radiology to teach and train in India. Dr Stephen Bianchi

Dr Bianchi is a Consultant & Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in Respiratory Medicine currently working within the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the University of Sheffield since July 2007. He is Clinical Respiratory Lead for the management of children and young people focussing on transitional care and a Lead Clinician for both interstitial lung disease and sleep & ventilation. Dr Bianchi leads a diverse general respiratory and internal medical practice and is considered a national expert in transitional care of patients with various neurological/respiratory illnesses, sleep medicine and interstitial lung disease. Dr Bianchi has a private clinical practice at the BMI Thornbury Hospital, Sheffield. Dr Bianchi has expertise in general respiratory medicine (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, breathlessness, cough) with a special interests in sleep disordered breathing (e.g., sleep apnoea, respiratory failure, respiratory complications of neurological disease, ventilation), pulmonary fibrosis (scarring) and bronchiectasis (chronic lung infection). Following his initial training in general internal medicine, Dr Mahesh subsequently trained in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Mr Young graduated as a research prize winner from the University of Cambridge and University of Oxford. Initially, his urology training focussed on clinical and scientific research in treatments for prostate cancer at the Cancer Research Institute for Cancer Studies at the University of Birmingham; leading to receiving the highest research degree of PhD in 2003. Mr Izett-Kay currently practices as a Consultant Gynaecologist and Subspecialist Urogynaecologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford University Hospitals, Oxford. Mr Izett-Kay co-provides teaching and training within Oxford's Subspecialty Urogynaecology Training Programme, as well as undergraduate education for the University of Oxford. He regularly receives awards and nominations, both locally and regionally, for training provided to junior doctors, particularly within the field of laparoscopy. He has developed and taught on revision courses in both the Middle East and India for the Part 1 Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) and co-founded a revision website that provides a podcast-led study platform.

Mr Max Almond

Mr Almond is a consultant in General Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Upper Gastrointestinal and Pancreaticobiliary Surgery. His practice is based at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. He is a lead for Clinical Governance in Emergency General Surgery across three surgical hospitals. Mr Almond completed subspecialty training in upper gastrointestinal and pancreaticobiliary surgery, and further gained specialist experience in abdominal and retroperitoneal sarcoma surgery through Fellowships to the Istituto Dei Tumori, Milan, and the Royal Marsden Hospital, London. He has also developed specialist skills in therapeutic endoscopy through Fellowships to Harvard University, Boston; the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston; and the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, US. Mr Almond performs specialist open and laparoscopic treatment of soft tissue sarcomas, neuroendocrine tumours, gastrointestinal stromal tumours, adrenal tumours, gallstones, hiatal hernias, acid reflux, abdominal wall and groin hernias, and lipomas. He also performs upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopy and ERCP (endoscopic removal of gallstones). Mr Almond has special interests in Abdominal Cancer Surgery, Abdominal Trauma, Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery including cholecystectomy, and General Surgery. He has worked on cases involving abdominal trauma, work-related abdominal injury, emergency and elective general surgical negligence including mismanagement of hepatobiliary disease, soft tissue sarcoma and GIST. Mr Almond is the lead for Clinical Governance in Emergency General Surgery across three large acute Hospitals. In this role he leads internal root cause analysis investigations of major clinical incidents. Mr Almond is an honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University of Birmingham and a surgical tutor on behalf of the European School of Soft Tissue Sarcoma Surgery.

Mr Simon Galloway

Mr Simon Galloway is a highly respected Consultant General and Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeon practising at the Wythenshawe Hospital, where he has been a consultant since March 2000. Up until recently, Mr Galloway was also the Clinical Director for Surgery at the Wythenshawe Hospital. Mr Galloway is an Educational Supervisor to all grades of junior doctors and undergraduates. Mr Vijay Joshi

Mr Joshi was appointed as a Consultant in Thoracic Surgery at the Wythenshawe Hospital; part of the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust in 2018. He is an expert in minimally invasive surgery and applications of new technology. He also holds a licence/certification to practice in both the USA and Canada where he also has training experience. Mr Joshi completed a two-year advanced surgical fellowship at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, USA as well as a medical observership at the University of Toronto and a robotic / minimally invasive fellowship at the James Cooke University Hospital prior to being appointed as a Consultant. Mr Joshi's clinical focus is in minimally invasive surgery (which include VATS lobectomy and robotics) as well as general thoracic surgical oncology. He also treats patients who require pleural surgery (including effusions, empyema and pneumothorax), thymic surgery, diaphragm palsy and hernia, chest wall tumour resection and reconstruction, lung volume reduction, airway and tracheal procedures as well as emergency thoracic surgery; including chest wall trauma. Mr Joshi has also acquired experience in upper gastrointestinal surgery, mesothelioma and extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) as part of his extensive training background. Mr Joshi frequently presents his research at professional conferences and has also been invited to give talks as an expert in minimally invasive surgery, both nationally and internationally. He has mentored both regional and international medical students and supervises junior doctors on a regular basis. He has organised regional scientific meetings and conferences.
